Rocko's Modern Life is an American animated television series whose four seasons aired from 1993 to 1996. The show was based around the surreal, parodistic adventures of an anthropomorphic wallaby named Rocko, and his life in the city of O-Town. It is revealed in the episode "Skid Marks" that Rocko lives at 1172 Boogie Road. The series was created by Joe Murray. One of Nickelodeon's Nicktoons, it was the fourth series released in the Nicktoons group, and the first to be introduced since the original three were introduced in August 1991. The program was produced by Joe Murray Productions and Nickelodeon Studios, and occasionally by Games Productions.

The show is laden with suggestive double entendres, innuendo, and social commentary which are listed in here. It has become a prominent cult classic. There are two separate versions of the Rocko's Modern Life theme song (the new version performed by the B-52's), as well as a "remaster" of the first theme which added a high-pitched chorus line to the "Rocko's Modern Liiiiiifffe!" line.

Oh shit, remember this stuff?

The target audience of cartoon shows has gone down exactly one year for every year since 1990.

Pretty soon we'll see cartoons for expecting mothers.

I have to disagree, I love spongebob because of a lot of the higher brow humor...and the fairly odd parents has a lot of jokes that kids would never get.

Fairly Oddparents was the last nick cartoon I watched fairly regularly. It was awesome, but it got old after a while. Still catch it every once in a while, when I'm bored. Also, the Channel Changers movie was pretty awesome.

And it should be noted that having subtle, adult humor does not mean it's targeted at older people. It just means its makers are smart and give parents a reason to watch with their kids.

I'm not so much using that for the humor factor...but I'm just fascinated that someone could be that hairy...

Somehow I went from the opening lines of Duckula's theme tune to "you're a fool if you dare" from Trapdoor and finished with "let's croak us some toads" from Bucky O' Hare.

I think my brain is broken.
