Eh, well the original Venom was cool and stuff but lately he's just some crazy random monster. He also has just been overused heavily throughout Marvel and just reeks of 90's. Overall, I've just grown bored of both him and the symbiote.
Tony is not having a good year because he got his best friend killed, turn another one on him, and made all his OTHER friends fugitives. So he gets to have sex with Spider-woman!
Spider-man is not having a good year because he died and then went berserk(scaring his wife) on an old villain, revealed his identity because of his asshole friend, got betrayed because he thought to oppose him, and lost his mentor/father figure, his aunt is dying, and is now being accused of not being who he really is by another good friend. So he gets a story arc that's pretty clearly going to break them up.
So, who else thinks Joe Quesada just hates Spider-man and loves Iron Man?

So wait why are the Skrull all infiltrating the Marvel universe and shit?
I thought they got the proverbial "Ownage" in Annihilation Wave.
Exactly.
The Skrulls that are left don't exactly have a home planet any more. Bendis has set up that the Skrulls religiously believe that Earth belongs to them; what better time to make a play for it?
Oh great, now Bendis is making it so I have to read MA to understand what happens in NA.
That's been happening for a couple of issues.
Are we reading the same thing? Yeah, reading both definitely enriches the story, but you don't need the other in order to appreciate one of them. In fact, there is a ton of overlap between them whenever they have stuff like this, just to keep you filled in.

Well, you might be wondering "What the fuck is Janet doing being Ultron?", but honestly, you're right.

I don't think Bendis is the one who created Earth as the Skrull Promised Land legend.

That's probably not even Gargan, it's just a bunch of symbiotes.
Plus, I doubt he's gonna whup the Mighty Avengers. It's a cover those are never true.
Well, mostly.
Basically it's similar to the Wolverine syndrome.
I mean it's pretty obvious.
Though, his art for One More Day has me convinced you're on to something.
But OMD looks like shit.
someone get Whippy in here
And there's not a damn thing wrong with that.
soooooooooo ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude
While Symbiote virus sounds retarded, I have faith that it won't suck.
...too badly.
I thought they got the proverbial "Ownage" in Annihilation Wave.
Those issues are.
I would guess it goes from the Ultron/Skrull timeframe to World War Hulk (which has actually lasted what, a couple days?) to the Venom virus stuff.
Exactly.
The Skrulls that are left don't exactly have a home planet any more. Bendis has set up that the Skrulls religiously believe that Earth belongs to them; what better time to make a play for it?
The wave didn't kill all of them, so I would guess they are pretty interested in more covert ways to build the empire back up.

Maybe 2?
Whenever the Skrull conspiracy was unveiled.
Are we reading the same thing? Yeah, reading both definitely enriches the story, but you don't need the other in order to appreciate one of them. In fact, there is a ton of overlap between them whenever they have stuff like this, just to keep you filled in.
The point is I don't want to have to add another monthly title just to enjoy the one I had already been reading.

No, you're not going to get to see the entire Jessica/Tony encounter, but you'll find out how it went down.
Yeah. It dawned on me that was the case shortly afterwards.
I don't think Bendis is the one who created Earth as the Skrull Promised Land legend.
Skrulls have always wanted Earth, but now that they've lost their homeworld they want it with a religous zealotry. Which Bendis did add.
At all.
Have I mentioned how fantastic Jim Cheung is?
I'll definitely be picking it up.
