It's out, and I'm ready to throw down on either format. Anyone up for a game?

Has anyone grabbed this for the DS yet? I am thinking of getting it for the DS. I was disappointed with the first version to be honest.

I too want to hear some personal opinions of it being good. I don't have a 360 and I've been hankering for some good Worms action. Will this scratch my itch?!

I have both versions. The PSP is largely an updated version of the first WOW (which is, coincidentally, Worms XBLA). The graphics are nicer, you can customise your worms, but the important thing is that the physics are much nicer. I seem to recall the physics in Worms XBLA being a point of contention with some of you guys, but they're much better here. No sticky grenades or the like - it's a lot closer to the very first game in the series.

The DS version, by comparison, doesn't look quite as nice, but it plays much better. The physics are closer to Worms Armageddon, the controls are intuitive, and it just seems to flow a lot better than the PSP version. There are also some very nifty touchscreen modes in the "Laboratory" that allow you to do some pretty nifty things.

I'd recommend both versions to anyone, but I'd recommend the DS version to serious Wormers.

Thank you very much! This is in the info I was looking for. Here is the next question, is there a better arrangement of available weapons? I remember the first one having a sucky weapon variety.

It has more weapons - some old, some new. You will be pleased to hear that the Holy Hand Grenade and the Super Sheep have both made very welcome returns.

And now I am off to work!

I really hope this is good. If it is, I might buy it. I can't stand not playing Worms much loner, since the fucking thing is like a crapshoot with Vista.

It is beyond awesome. My fellow old school wormers, you will enjoy the DS implementation, I assure you.

What's this? A good Worms game for a handheld I own? HA! SO bought once I get back home from vacation. Squirmy, I do believe there are some good matches to be had between us. We've got to get Torgo to import a copy, as well.

And no more terrible WormNet! Just... terrible Nintendo WiFi... instead.

Edit: Wow, the more I read about this game, the more my frothing demand increases. Hey Squirmy, how are the ninja rope physics? Is that included in the 'similar to Armageddon' statement? pleaseohplease

I picked this up today and have been having a real hard time putting it down. My friend code is 3265 2839 2634. My wireless access is really limited right now, but I'll play when I can.

I had to delete the friend codes; just having them saved on my system was giving me the 91010 error. The hell?
