PC Games to be played with PS2 controller converter recomendations

Basically, I have recently got a PS2 controller converter, and am looking for games which work well with it.

I am looking for something to play to take advanage of my PC's specs over PS2/GC/Xbox, or to be PC exclusive but are really better played with a controller.

Good recomendations would be stuff like PoP or BG&E (but I have allready played them multiple times)

Specs -
2.16ghz core2duo
X600
1gig ram

Pretty open to a range of genre's, not really sports games/sim games, but apart from that am open minded about it.

TL: DR - Tell me some PC games which are good with PS2 controller, good console ports or PC exclusive games which control better with PS2 controller.

Resident Evil 4 is actually quite good, especially once you've applied the texture mods, laser sight mods, and other stuff that takes your fancy.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance would work pretty nicely.

Both wicked suggestions, have on Xbox and Wii respectively.

Edit: and I shall check out Legacy of Kain: Defiance

You can control the helicopters like a god in Desert Combat if you set it up right.

Sure, it's not a console port, and you don't need a good PC to run it, but it's definitely better to play using a controller rather than the keyboard.

Pretty much any of those PC sidescrollers are great.
I was recently playing through... fuck.. I can't remember the game.
The non-combat game.. 2D... we had a thread on it... AHHH!!

But it's a really relaxed game so I tossed it on the lap top, plugged a controller in and just chilled on my bed, it was fantastic.

I actually prefer the Dual Shock over a joystick.

World in Conflict is pretty interesting with a gamepad as well. Flash games like Robotron and N work great with the DS, if you set them up properly with Joy2Key. Heroes of the Pacific and TMNT natively support gamepads. Practicing Unreal 2k4 with a gamepad will turn you into a console FPS pro.

I can confirm this to be true as i used my converter to play it.

I can also say Geometry Wars.

I can even say for the love of god don't try x-wing vs tie fighter. no dead zone? wtf is with that.

There are so ridiculously many good-to-great freeware 2d action/adventure/RPG games out there that feel so much better with a controller instead of a keyboard, if you're interested in that sort of thing.

There are some good PC fighting games, like Guilty Gear and Melty Blood that would obviously be better with a gamepad than a keyboard... not sure about how well the dual shock specifically would do with them, though. I can't recall if they're designed for 6 face buttons or what.

But yeah, just set it up so that it's got the arrow keys, and some common game buttons (space, ctrl, etc?) assigned to it, and it makes all those little flash games 200% more fun.

The 2 most recent Tomb Raiders are both fun on the PC and control well with a PS2 style controller.

With a 3rd party software (such as Pinnacle) Beyond Good and Evil plays awesome.

Actually with a good 3rd party software, just about every game becomes playable.

The GTAs work quite nicely on PC with a pad. There's plenty of mods and tweaks out there for 'em too.
