the title kinda says it all. i bought a cable to hook my computer up to my hd lcd tv. it takes the dvi output of the computer and plugs into the hdmi input of the tv on the other end. i'm thinking about another setup which would take the hdmi output of my cable box and send it to the dvi input of my regular lcd computer monitor. would the same cable work the other way?

Most of them are reversable, as far as I know.

It should work fine for an unencrypted signal, but if your monitor doesn't support HDCP (and your cable box encrypts content) then it might not work with your cable box.
