Help getting Free *FILL IN GAME CONSOLE HERE*

So my best friend (who some of you might know, Taximes) is pretty good at winning stuff. A contest where you get a little ticket, put your name and email on a card and put in a box, or just submit your email address: it doesn't matter what it is, he always seems to be able to win something. It's discouraging for me.

This leads me to want to win stuff. I was wondering if anyone could help me in doing this. From pointing out good places to find such contests, or anything really. What I would most like is to win a next-gen console. Has anyone tried one of those "fill out all these surveys and we'll send you one"? How reliable are those?

Any and all help would be great.

    I used to be really into the "get free stuff online" thing, but I've found out it doesn't really work. I mean, yes there ARE people who got free ipods and stuff from those sites, but bassically most of them you have to buy a subscription to a magazine, or some obscure drug.

    All the ones I've seen also require you to "get 5 people to do the same", which bassically requires that you harass your friends. So in the short, yes, it is possible to get free stuff online, but you probably dont want to go through the work it takes to get it.

    i ve done it got a free 27" inch sony wega tv and an ipod
    some of the stuff they get you to subscribe for are free trial offers that you can cancel so you dont end up spending anything.
    there are some companies that don have you getting other people to sign up instead you yourself have to complete a bunch of diff offers.
    here is a site that is dedicated to these promotions. they got guides on how it works and forums.

    make sure you create a separate email account for this cuz they do sell your email to everyone so u mite get a lot of spam (not this site but the actual offer companies)

    A lot of Blogs have prizes for commenters. Engadget, Jostick, Kotaku, etc. All have prize give aways and many are advertising that they'll have stuff for Black Friday and all Thanksgiving weekend. Kotaku just had a prize for an Area 51 computer or some jazz. Most only require you find an old post they made or just comment in a thread. Many of these sites only get a few 1000 comments. I think the most I've seen is like 20,000, which is pretty good odds for some of the prizes they give out all things considered.

    So, my suggestion is hit up a lot of game or tech related blogs. Most get free samplers of games or products that they review and then give away or soem just get free stuff from developers that they use for prizes. I've won a month's pass to Netflix off one site. It was a small blog and made for an easy win.

    Not sure about any old fashioned fill in ballet options though. Those are usually not worth the hassle and end up with a mountain of spam emails.
