Mobo on but no video??

I got a Mobo processor deal for my brother, I took out the old one and connected the whatnots. The only thing not connected is the CD drive cause there's no room for it. When I turn it on the HDD LED comes on, and I can hear it spin, the fan spins fine and so does the floppy. But there's nothing on the screen. I thought it would be somethign with CMOS, so I followed the instructions in the mobo manual to clear it and put it back in normal mode, nothing worked.
