Searching for a Song

So I was a the Union Square Virgin Megastore tonight, and a song came on that I really liked. Unfortunately, I was in a rush, so I didn't get the chance to ask who it was.

Female vocalist, poppy tempo. The only lyric I kinda-sorta picked up was something like "I'm alone in my apartment on a Friday." I don't think that's it exactly, since Google yielded nothing.

Fellow Arcadians, please assist!

What type of music would you say it was? Sorry, sounds like a stupid question because you called it "poppy"--what did her voice sound like? can you imagine it in your head at all? Any vocal comparisons?

I really want to figure this out. I hate when this happens to me.

I was definitely a "rock" song, as far as that sounds. To my untrained ear, it sounded close to Canadian indie-pop; I thought for a second it was Reverie Sound Revue, but that's not it.

Oh wow, I just remembered the full lyric.
And I just figured out the song; it's "Mouthwash" by Kate Nash.

Apparently, she's been compared to the likes of Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse... D:

And oh wow, that sounds different from what I heard. Someone must have covered it.
