Name That Game mk. Bajillion

This is more of a "Stop this from annoying me" request, because I'm trying to think of this game I played and it's bugging me.

Top down.

Army game.

Little men.

Simple graphics.

Weapons + grenades.

4 men in your squad.

You control all of them at once, running around the level and shooting shit up.

Levels are large and expansive, not one screen.

The men aren't plastic.

You could use vehicles like Jeeps and snowmobiles.

I remember it being particularly hard.

Please note: It wasn't Army Men or General Chaos. It also wasn't Commandos, because it was much older than Commandos. I'm sure ONE of you knows what game I'm talking about.

sounds like it. good game, but the bazooka enemies just pissed me off.

It's definitely Cannon Fodder if you remember your men ranking up, a huge graveyard where tombstones to your lost men were put up, and a seemingly endless queue of recruits.

    Also, get orf moi laaand

To bail this guy out...I quote from the site FAQ

    * Are all your games abandonware?

Yes. We used to have freeware games as well, but we decided they were important enough to create a whole new site dedicated just to them. It is called Abandonia Reloaded and you can find it on http://www.reloaded.org. We also have exclusive rights to host some of the games on the site. Only the copyright holder can give this kind of permission.

Cool, I finally have something I need answered for me. Since this is the solider genre...

I remember playing it at a friends house, so it was most certainly NOT an arcade game.
It was a top down vertical shoot-em-up. You walked south to north, shooting a whole bunch of shit.
    co-op
I remember lots of boxes, but I don't know if they blew up.
    I also remember a helicopter.
It might have been on a Sega system.

    Good luck.

This game involved soldiers, moving vertically north, supports two player, blowing up tons of shit, there were plenty of boxes/crates (they contain items), there was a helicopter boss, and also a helicopter drops you off at the beginning, and this game was ported to the Genesis.

It originated as an arcade. (it's the sequel to capcom's Commando)

Here's a game I keep forgetting the name of.

It was an NES era game but it may have been an arcade game first. Anyway you play this little ninja dude kicking blue ninja butt.
    It was a side scroller.
The end of the first level has a boss that has a giant head and attacks you with it.
I remember a map where all the areas were on top of the clouds or something.

    Anyone?

    Legend of Kage?

Little sidescroller where you're a ninja, kicking the butts of (mostly) blue ninjas. I don't know what the first boss was though.

It doesn't sound like you're referring to any of the Ninja Gaiden games.

All right here's an obscure one for the sega master system.

Side scroller, dude with a blaster pistol infiltrates some instilation or space ship. You have to input these weird rune like codes to get card keys to access deeper parts of the game. Eventualy you find 5 flopy disks take them to the core and start the self destruct and try to escape in time.

That game features a ninja, fighting blue ninjas, with a bigheaded boss, cartoony graphics, and a later level fought on the clouds... that could be it..

HotU isn't at all a litmus test for the legality of downloading abandonware. They have quite a few games there that are not at all abandoned even. Like System Shock 2.

    Obscure game:

    Top-down, or isometric perspective, NES.

You play as a spy or commando of sorts. The map is divided into squares, some are outside, some are inside buildings. Lots of traps and stuff. I remember it being a bad idea to fight any enemies, but you did have some kind of sleep-gas you could use a limited number of times. There might have been other tools like wire cutters.

Okay I got one. This was a top down game for NES and the screen moved you along. The game was also two players. You and a friend played as a guy on a motorcycle. The bike had machine guns and all kinds of upgrades. There was no saving and no levels perse. After you defeat a boss (Which were fucking hard as I recal) you would continue on your way. Moving through a city. The screen moved from top to bottom. I wish I could be more helpful with my description, but if you guys figure it out than I shall give you the Sun and it could be called "The Carl".
