Why would you be using an xbox more then xbox 360? O_o
Edit: And gamecube being used more then wii? Am I reading that thing right?
Same reason that the PS2 is still dominating playtime - a higher install base and more purchased titles. What's surprising to me is that the Wii, which has an install base competitive with the 360, is getting less than half the playtime. I guess it's either that it's more casual and infrequent play or else it just doesn't have a lot of good titles.
Neilson gets its ratings by installing little spyboxes on top of peoples' TVs.
You know what pisses me off? When you're downloading something really big, so it takes a long time, like, let's say, ten hours. So you occupy yourself with other things and return twelve hours later to find that firefox has finished downloading it and subsequently deleted it.

Firefox has never deleted any of my downloads.
But then again, I've never spent ten hours downloading a porno.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I think I'll start off with A song of ice and Fire and perhaps a book series from Gene Wolf.
Also I've read the 4 book series that starts off with Across the Nightingale Floor. Shit, they were great. Any more stuff like that would be good times.
Does this sound like good reading? I'm trying to start reading more actively again after I kind of just stopped a few years back for some reason. Feel free to recommend me some books I should buy

...you're not really supposed to talk about that here...
So I'm home, waiting for my French Chicken-in-a-Pot (poulet en cocette) to be done in a few hours. All snowed in with a bunch of movies to watch and a few vidja games to play. Life is good.
At least until I have to walk the dog.
We just call chicken pot pie here in the south. You northerners always have to complicate things.
Now I love chicken pot pie, but this isn't the same thing. It's basically just:
1) Put chicken in pot.
2) Cover securely (with lid and foil if available)
3) Cook at 250 degrees for around two hours
You can add a few veggies and brown the chicken first if you want, but it's not completely necessary. It's like the simplest delicious recipe I know.
Man I hesitated for thirty seconds on whether or not I should add a :P to my post.
Interesting recipe though.
Wait a minute, is there water in this pot? Are you stewing or baking the chicken? And the idea of unseasoned cooked chicken seems rather repulsive. It'd be so bland, and if you didn't get fresh chicken, you'd taste the meat-stinkiness too...
It's a basically dry pot. I'm not sure what the term is for this kind of cooking (with liquid it would be called braising). You can put a little salt and pepper on the chicken before throwing it in the oven, but basically the idea is that all the flavor and aroma stays confined in the pot and goes back into the chicken.

Gene Wolfe is awesome. The Latro series is my favorite, but Book of the New Sun is probably his best known work.

Agreed gooey, someone not fucking retarded though. I don't want a bland new game, so make sure eidos comes no where near it.
Syndicate is probably my favorite game ever.
I think EA owns the rights, since they're the ones who bought Bullfrog.
I was playing Syndicate last night, unleashing death and destruction with my 4 minigun-wielding agents and it occurred to me that a fully 3d Syndicate game (not faked isometric) with fully destructable environments, flocks of civilians and the same amounts of brutal violence would sell like hotcakes. Then the idea of a fully-realised multiplayer Syndicate popped into my head and I nearly cried.
Bullfrog made some incredible games. It's a shame they got folded into EA like that.

FYI I'm playing Morrowind right now. I'm doing some Morag Tong contracts, as a matter of fact. But just because Morrowind is great doesn't mean Oblivion can't be fun too.
