I just went to circuit city, where they assured me that the card I bought would work with my computer, which runs on windows XP x64. The drivers seemed to have installed without a hitch, but I can't get A: the computer to recognize the drivers for the device are on the disc or B: the drivers to recognize that the card is installed.

The card in question is a D-Link Rangebooster G desktop Adapter, WDA-2320.

Should this device be able to run on the computer?

If this one doesn't work, what should I get?

According to D-Link's site, they have drivers for 64-bit Vista, but not 64-bit XP. So you're outta luck on this card with that OS. I doubt making 64-bit XP drivers is a real priority for them.

    Well crap.

Is there a card I should exchange this one for?

One that has drivers for 64-bit XP maybe? I dunno, a wireless card is a wireless card. Find one that's the same brand as your AP?
