I really...REALLY hate Hitch's pages so far. Like, with a passion. It seems....well, forced, in my opinion. Maybe it's just that the colorings off, or somthing. I can't tell.

And I like his work, alot.

But it just dosen't look right, and it drives me nuts.

Nope, it's supposed to be a book/mini-series about Wolvie teaching youngsters the ropes, starting with Kitty Pryde. Who, I hope no one has failed to notice, has had her chest size quadrupled. Not that I'm complaining, but then again I think she's officially 14 or something at that point.

Also, this is supposed to take place before the original Ogun thing. I think.

Well I am guess that is the 50's Cap from Alex Ross' new mini on Cap 36.

Also happy to see Wanda back in xmen 209. Lots of possibility here. How will Mags really react. We know his take on Nazis, and good ole Wanda decided, "Hey why waste money on camps." Should be some good father/daughter morality/genocide stuff. Hope its not a time travel thing. They need to bring her back.

And last but not least, Uncanny 496. Since Kitty has not been seen since before Messiah Complex. Does Whedon kill her off in Astonishing. Three people who care for her, extremely pissed on the cover? UGH! NO JOSS NO!!!!

I like how they say, in the solicit for Ultimates 3 #4,

The most-talked-about series from superstars Jeph Loeb, Joe Madureira and Christian Lichtner charges toward Ultimatum!

They don't mention that most of the talking is along the lines of "man, that was pretty disappointing". And other, less-flattering things.

Yeah, it makes me think that they wanted that part to be just skin or something and then changed it at the last minute.

Ew, the flesh colored hip section makes its seem like he's wearing nothing at all and evokes the image of thigh high boots when you look at the lower part. It's like they went out of their way to give him a really gay outfit.

I mentioned this over on scans_daily, but that pose for Billy seems incredibly effeminate. Before anyone says it, floating doesn't necessitate such a pose: people such as Apollo, Superman, etc. all manage to maintain a non-feminine posture, so it seems gratuitous for Billy to do so. It seems like an oddly ham-fisted move, given how well they've handled his sexuality so far.

While I tend to agree, they're also trying to call back that he's essentially Scarlet Witch lite, and she's used that pose plenty, so it might be something a bit less sinister.
