Hm. I approve of the art (and I don't mean that in a dirty way), but I don't know that that's something Cass would actually do. I mean, she was creeped out by the way people were looking at her when she was wearing a bathing suit in the past, so to now assume that she's perfectly fine with just wandering around while naked is a bit of a stretch.

I think Dixon is basing his Cass more on how Puckett wrote her. In his run, she'd go out in public dressed in just what amounted to a sports bra and not find anything at all wrong with that. She was a great deal more impulsive and cared less about what everyone else thought than how she was portrayed later on.

But really, I thought it was a funny scene, so I liked it.

Cass has all of those scars because she and her dad would play "Two For Flinching."

With, like, swords and guns and shit.

There's a scene in Cable and Deadpool I thought was hilarious.
When his soul broke off into a million different Avengers and they are all shouting random stuff, like his Dr Strange Deadpool and the 'by the onion rings of burger king" and so on and then the last one has his version of Blackbolt not saying anything and they comment on how his Blackbolt sucks.

I'll post a scan later if I get the chance. I doubt I did it any justice.

the art in Detective Comics was awful

and the story was pretty predictable. doesn't stand up to the epic bat-crossovers from the past

Anyway, Mighty Avengers was a pretty fun read. The thought bubbles work out fine.

As someone who isn't following Messiah Complex, I found it pretty mediocre. The Deathstrike/Laura fight was good though.

Fair enough. It was pretty much a pure "fight" issue so I found it really fun to read.

Can someone get a scan of the panels where Warpath throws his knife through the Reaver's head? That was fuckawesome.

Someone posted a reply to me with the idea that she is actually dead and is now replaced by a Skrull. Considering it's Bendis, it's highly possible.

It's a shame it wasn't all Don Kramer as originally solicited. I hope they put him on another high profile book, specifically one thats needs a good, steady artist. (justice league?)

The Marvel Holiday Special had a good one. The main story's about Spider-Man teaming up with Wolverine to defeat a mall Santa Clause who, having commandeered a discarded Sentinel robot, plans get revenge on the world after he was fired from his mall Santa gig. At the same time, Spidey's trying to deliver a cake to Autn May's Christmas party, narrowly avoiding disaster at every turn, and Wolverine's trying to keep his berserker rage under control.
    MHoliday1-1.jpg

    And then..

    MHoliday1-2.jpg

There was also a great one in Iron Fist where Danny's doing some recon before heading back to Kun Lun. Looking around he spots three people milling around and has some internal narration.

"Hydra guy. Hydra guy. Old woman. Hydra guy."

It's just such a deadpan moment you can't help but smile.
