UK G&T Mini-Pax, Manchester Edition

So, I decided that I wanted to go and see Beowulf at the imax in Manchester recently, and after mentioning it in the UK Bargains thread, a few other people showed interest.

We'll be going to the 19:00 screening, but meeting at about 18:30 at the printworks. Afterwards we will hit one of the many alcoholories in Manchester, pub/bar depending on everyones mood, I'm not that fussed.

I thought I would make a thread about it, pretty much anyone who wants to is welcome to come along. Currently it's me and a couple of friends (one who mostly lurks here as McMonkey, the other who doesn't)

My train's leaving earlier than I thought, so I need to get the one in an hour. This means that instead of arriving at 5pm I'll be in at 6, and unless I can just throw my shit in my parents' car and then get back on the the train immediately (Christmas spirit!) I don't think I'll be able to make it.

Bah, I've already seen Beowulf. Also: Mentioning a day could help. And this isn't really a PaX, it's a forum cinema trip. I doubt anybody will be manning a convention stall with "booth babes".

Heya fellas! I'm in Newcastle visiting a mate of mine for a few weeks. We'll be in London on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, then in Edinburgh on New Year's Day. Any other time is fair game, and I'd love to meet up for a pint or whatnot, if you're willing. Travel's gotta be fairly close, though, as money's a wee bit tight.

We hung around before the film and actively looked approachfull to any strangers (and probably creeped a few out), then when no one turned up, just went into the cinema, then hit a crowded pub afterwards, and had a good catch up (since I havent seen either of them in ages)

But we should definately all have another meet up, only this time with me having nothing to do with the organisation of it.
