I don't know how many of you have seen this before, but I want!

VR Headtracking with the Wii

I don't know how you'd do this other than with a rail shooter, but I want console games like this. NOW.

This is an interesting piece of technology to be used for games.

It is kinda a cool idea I guess. I don't care that much about video games to care about this.

The reason i didn't post this in the wii thread is because i am not honestly sure if it will be viable for use with the Wii system as it stands right now, especially as a party game or something.

It would be possible, for instance, to have split screen play with this concept, all you would need is two emitter sets for two players with different wavelengths of liight and a IR camera able to discern the difference. I don't know how they are built right now, but I'm pretty sure that the Wiimote can't support that.

Also, anything but a railshooter would be pretty hard to implement without a two joystick configuration, like the Xbox controller, one for movement, one for aiming, and perhaps the head tracking for ducking behind cover or maneuvering out of the way.

One game this would be fuck awesome for would be No More Heroes.

Any single player first-person game would rock with this shit.

I don't care if you made a new thread and teefs was only playing with you for feeling the need to censor your thread title. You don't need to do that in SE++.

My wife played with a Wii at a work gathering once, she decided she wanted one, but when we had the money to buy it the store was out, and continued being out of them for the next couple of weeks. So then we spent the money on something else.

Kind of sucks that Nintendo isn't producing enough of those.
