Hopefully this is the right place for this, if not apologies
Here is the deal, bought the 360 blah blah packaged deal, came with an additional wireless controller, thing is it doesn't seem to want to work properly. You push the center button and all the lights flash, but never stops and the controller does not go into its desired second player function.
What do I do about this? I tried looking at the Microsoft website but didn't seem to see anything regarding controller repair. I bought this in America (I am Canadian) at Costco, and while Costco will accept returns from the states the card holder lives across the country and is required for a return (I think), so I am somewhat limited in my avenues in this regard.
Advice Please,
Thanks

Press the synch button on the console, press the synch button on the contollor (they are both pretty easy to spot as they aren't really labeled with anything)

On top of the controller there is a small button, press and hold that in and the lights will start a pattern. Now go to the 360 and push the circular button next to the memory card slots and the controller will sync up with the system.
This is how you can have multiple 360's in a room without controllers interfering, and has to be done with new or borrowed controllers.
