Hearing loss and Numbness

So last Thursday I woke up and felt like my right ear was clogged with water or something. I thought nothing of it and took a shower. It continued to feel clogged and I was having a very hard time hearing out of it. By about 9 that morning (i woke up at 530) I could not feel the right side of my face. This numbness proceeded to slowly take over the entire right side of my body. It wasn't complete lack of feeling. It felt sorta tingly like a dentist had given me a novicane shot several hours ago. This feeling went away by about 8 that night but I still cannot hear very well at all out of my right ear and it feels clogged. I have an appointment scheduled with a ear doctor in 2 days, just wonderin if anyone knows whats up

Why two days, and why're you waiting to see a specialist and not rushing right into a GP right now? If that happened to me I'd suspect something serious and terrible was going on with my brain or nervous system.

I'm not saying it's one of those, but geez, if your body goes partially numb, GO TO THE HOSPITAL.

I don't think anything else needs to be said. If you can't get in to see the specialist, go to the ER. Keep the appointment in case you need it, but this needs to be looked at now.

Yeah i figured seeing a GP was best. I called alot of doctors and talked to them about it. They told me as long as it doesn't occur again, I should just wait to see the specialist. Apparently because it was only slight numbness that went away on its own, a stroke is VERY unlikely. Most of them think that it was just due to my recent change of diet.
