Green Man

Is the perspective as fucked-up as I suspect it is?
Is the fact that the moon doesn't cast light an horrific oversight, or is the sky dark enough that I can get away with it?
Should the tie be darker?

Done with coloured pencils and markers. This is the first drawing I've put any type of effort into since high-school, and I really don't know dick about colour. Any suggestions you guys can make in that area would be especially appreciated.

I think your Green Man is interesting. I like the way he is drawn.

The background is pretty muddy. I suspect from the blend of markers and pencils? It detracts from the piece.

I don't like the white "border" either. I realize this is a work in progress, but I would either finish the edges or crop it before making any sort of presentation.

Lighting seems consistent, I'm just not digging that background...

Looks good for your first serious piece since high school. The background has a Starry Night look to it, and you actually rendered the light on the leather jacket really well. The pocket and facial features need more work though. However, if the moon's behind him shouldn't he be backlit instead of from the side?

The light-source is off-frame at the bottom-left - an electric light, or lantern, or something like that. I decided (probably ill-advisedly) to add the background after I'd drawn him, not realising how difficult it is to add another light-source without having planned it. Ah well. We live and learn.
