    I completely understand the importance it has to the whole point of the show, I just can't get into it. I can't stand his sister and his son at all. His brother-in-law is okay, which I guess I'm kind of glad about since he's obviously going to become more and more important to the drug side of things.

    Man the scene that got me into the show was the scene of him talking to the guy in the basement and being duped by him, finding out about the plate, and being all, "no matter what I do, are you going to try to stick me with that piece of plate?", and then the choking and poking begins

    that was intense.

    I found that straight up difficult to watch. Not cause it was poorly done, but the complete opposite. It was just the worst situation

    I just saw the whole first episode.

    Badass show

    I only have one problem with it so far but I'm sure they will address it in future episodes.

    Does he start to see the horrible effect all of the drugs he is selling will have on people? Like he is literally doing more harm than good, arguably. Though I guess you could say if he wasn't making the meth someone else would be anyway.

    nah, not yet anyway
    im sure theres a lot more to come in future episodes. 7 really isnt much for this show

    but i was thinking somethin kinda related to that a while ago
    basically comparing it to weeds
    in weeds she only sells pot, when faced with heroin she stays away from it cos its 'bad'
    and basically everyone in the show smokes pot at some point and it isnt treated like anything wrong
    but they cant do that in this show, and even with pot they dont see it as acceptable
    which should be one of the biggest differences between the shows

    Everyone with iTunes should do themselves a favor and watch the Behind the Scenes. It's free to download and talks about his future plans with the show, which addresses Trent's question.
    The creator of the show says he wants it, in the longterm, to show the effect meth has on an entire community and family gradually, and that he wants Walt to become a druglord eventually.

    Yeah I did.

    Making it all the more infuriating that they tried to say it was Mr. White's sidekick.

    I mean seriously, so many criminals DO NOT GET THIS

    If your buddy gets busted for possesion of a whole bunch of coke or gets taken in for being caught--on tape--several times selling to an undercover officer and he's wandering around the next day visiting everyone saying he "Isn't going to jail because he has a REALLY good lawyer," that means he is a snitch now.

    I'm watching the first episode. This is really good. One question, though.
    Does it eventually show what happens that leads up to the '3 weeks later' part or is that pretty much assumed to be a season finale?

    Yeah I forgot about him being Malcom's dad about FIVE minutes in.


    (Maybe the episode of Entourage I saw was not indicative of the series...it was one where they get to go to the playboy mansion. It seemed shallow and pointless to me. What is the tension on that show? Will they get rich? If that's it then it holds no interest for me.)
