Recently I got hooked up on puzzle quest, desktop tower defense, geometry wars galaxy, endless zombie madness, and peggle. Now I'm looking for new games in a similar pedigree. By the way, I strongly recommend any of the fore mentioned games....
can't wait for the full version of Irondukes.
Though I haven't procured it yet because of its rise in price (probably due to the exploit it provides), I recommend you grab Lumines. There's a sequel out now, which is considerably cheaper, and unless you're looking to downgrade your PSP firmware also, you might as well get that.
PC games are a massive division. Pac-Man is always fun, and these are exceptional clones. Matt Thorson is a God among indie gamers, so, for great justice, check out his website. He's the mastermind behind Jumper and Jumper Two, and the lesser-known Dim.
If you have a PS3 I highly recommend both Super Stardust HD and Everyday Shooter, as you seem to enjoy stuff like Galaxy Wars. I love Everyday Shooter, it's great just to play for 10-20 minutes to take a break from whatever I'm doing.
It was on sale at Comiket 73 for like, $5, but I think just because it never got 'publically' released, it's been marked up a little bit just from rarity I believe. Unfortunately, there's no demo.
As for what it is... it's just a little quasi-tower defense RTS thingy where the swarms fight back. It can be a little confusing if you don't know Japanese since every character has 3 powers they get as you upgrade them, but that's what the wiki is for. There are about 8 extra modes too. One that starts with extra cash, one that's more traditional tower defense, one with endless waves, etc. There -are- only 4 maps for the normal arcade mode, and the optimal strategy is usually to just spawn ginormous swarms of/upgrade only one or two characters, but I've gotten way more than $10 of fun out of it.
Armor Games has a metric fuckton of good games - I wasted my weekend playing a variety of them. The ratings tend to be a pretty good representation of quality, I've found.
I've got to concur with the audiosurf recommendation. Women like the game as well which is always helpful in relationships with a casual gamer.
I've got to recommend Strange Attractors. It only has one button and a great and simple game mechanic. I was hooked, but it's not too long so you won't get sucked in for an entire day.

I don't care if you do the referral thing, really. Either way, tons of games there.

I love making posts that I know are going to steal hours of time away from the collective forum members' days.
Edit: Oh, and obviously Off-Road Velociraptor Safari
Urban Dead is very good, although you need the UDToolbar plugin for Firefox to make it a little more user-friendly.
@gamefacts - Totally and utterly true gaming facts on the regular!
