Action Comics was incredible this week, and beat out the new issue of Criminal, Kick-Ass, and Fables.
Edit: I forgot to mention that ACTION COMICS not only has some stuff that's relevant to current issues of GREEN LANTERN (and the War of Light stuff), but also might have had some stealth "Great Disaster" stuff as well).

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to take away from what Shooter is doing. In my ideal candyland world, Johns would write the grown-up LoSH that's appearing in ACTION, and Shooter would keep doing his thing in the other LoSH book (Shooter wrote some of my favorite LoSH stories, including the Ferro Lad / Sun Eater story that was adapted for the cartoon. And he introduced Nemesis Kid, who I think is a great villain. Or was!).
Like what?
If'n ye don't mind the spoilerz.
#24 has everything...Scarface, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, a funny nod to another blue guy, a cooler nod to another blue guy....and last month the book only sold 'roughly' 15,600 copies? What a crock o' shit.
Anyways, scans are a bit light, but this is a good one to get started with.

DMAC what are your thoughts on the current Uncle Sam mini?

This one's more of a straightforward superhero story and the pacing seems kind of slow.
Definitely not what I was expecting it to be, but still damn good.
USM was good, as always.
But the moment of the week?
Getting Blue Beetle #22-24. Amazing.
I'm still waiting for the team to finally rally together again. Seems very much like Freedom Fighters Disassembled" this time around.

:^::^:
Really good week all around though.
JSofA was great as always, especially when
As I said in the Bat-Thread, Batman #674 was fantastic.
Countdown was pretty nuts. Derenick seems to get better with each issue he does.
Kudos to Gary Frank for getting another issue of Action Comics in on time, and I don't need to tell anyone how good the story is. Thanks for another one Geoff.
Uncle Sam was a satisfying read as always.
Hell I even thought Teen Titans was alright.

The first arc with Doc Ock?
Beautiful.
I picked up the first three trades of Blue Beetle today because so many people here like it (and I like DC superheroes), and I'll add it to my pull list next time I go in.
And it's going to my pull list next Wednesday.

I was looking for the significance of that too, that is very cool, and now I can't wait for the next one.
Servo, where exactly do you live around
like, actually in seattle or around it
because i could make you buy the trades
well jeeze keith, if you're gonna come beat me up i don't think i want to tell you exactly where i live
And was like 20 bucks.
Gave that one a miss.
your store sucks
See, this is pretty much my only remaining criticism of the book. That Jaime's still just a very boring everykid. This kind of extends to his family too. He doesn't seem to have any hobbies, noticeable personality traits, quirks, etc. His entire character is, "Good kid who's family oriented and is constantly out of his depth/amazed at the wackiness in his life." Paco's got his muy macho shtick, and Brenda's notoriously obsessive compulsive, which are good templates to build off of. But his dad's the always-stoic paternal figure dispensing wisdom, his mom's the oh-so-funny cliche hispanic mother who talks tough but has a heart of gold, and his sister's a bratty little snot ripped straight from a family sitcom. It feels like they've all failed to develop beyond their archetypes. I still Traci 13 though.

I concur. Batman doesn't have any hobbies or personality. Superman is a block of wood in tights. Half the heroes out there consist of hero, costume and villain of the month. Throw in a love interest once in a while or make them emo and it's "depth". Jaime is one of the few characters in comics that has a freaking personality and he's basically the modern day version of Amazing Spider-Man, circa 1960's.
As for MOTW, most hit all the Blue Beetle ones. All-Star Batman was lolz worthy. Wicked Witch of Lesbos Island gets the Goddamned Batman Award. Thor was all kinds of good. Loved the stories with Hogan punching animals, Asgardian plumbing systems and Bill x Kendra.
