Identify by sound?

Ok, I think this is a wierd one, but here goes.

I have a song I have been trying to identify for literally years. It's a song someone gave to me on a mix CD back around 2003ish and I just fell in love with it. I call it my (/blush) "Oriental Brain Massage" (yes...I like really relaxing music. Enya is my personal savior.)

The problem is, I have literally NO information on it.

No title

No artist

No album

No year of copyright or release

and worst of all.....

No lyrics.

It's orchestral. The only really identifiers I may have are that the song has a definate oriental style to it and that a chorus at the end tends to hint it's a score to a soundtrack.

I thought about uploading the song somewhere and posting a link here, but I don't want to break any rules Penny-arcade may have about posting copyrighted material.

Sooo....My question is.....

Is there a program or site anyone knows about that can identify a song based on it's sound wave signatures?

Or is there a problem with posting the song on the off chance someone recognizes it?

I know I sound like a complete dork wanting to identify a piece of classical music. But after a few years, I can stand the slight sense of silliness.

Thanks for any help you guys may have. You're just about my last shot at this.

P.S. I hope this is the right place for this post. I didn't see a sub forum that was a better fit, but sorry if I goofed.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

You should be able to post a snip of the song on a site like youtube. That may help.

If midomi above doesn't work (considering it may be difficult to hum the song unless it's a fairly simple instrumental), or just to present another option try http://www.wildbits.com/tunatic/
