LOST - Anti-christ baby possessed by dead hobbit edition
Same drill as before. This is where we discuss all things about the show, from crazy theories (Batman vs. Stephen King's Gunslinger universe) to news about upcoming shows and everything in between.
All rules from previous LOST threads apply here. (Like the one about waiting for me to make the next one when this reaches 100 pages. ) This is an on-topic thread, so please don't troll. Also, use spoiler-tags for things that occurred in the latest episode, grace-period is one week after airing. Some of you have been a little lax on this when posting a running commentary, please stop or you will be infracted.
So, has anyone else considered just exactly what's going to happen to make Jack go fucking nuts (Season 3 Finale). He seems just fine in all the flash-forwards we've seen this season... but, in that first flash-forward in the finale there he was doing everything in his power to get back to the island.
In the Hurley episode this season, Jack clearly says he doesn't want to go back to the island. However, in that flash-forward he's spending all his time flying over the Pacific hoping to crash back on the island. Some serious shit has to go down to make him go to that extreme.
How many more seasons do we have of this show? lol

this is how I described the time thing:
think of the bubble that surrounds the island not as a thin bubble, but more like a shell, multiple layers.
in that space, time is distorted. when passing through it, your perception is that only a small period of time has passed, while on the island and in the real world, time is passing ''normally''.
even simpler explanation. the island is just that, an island. the ocean is the sea of time. the rest of the world, represented by land, is getting further and further away in time like techtonic shift.
So, I'm watching Old School on ABC's weekend movie, and Locke is in it. He plays Luke Wilson's boss. See, the thing that makes this interesting is, I think he is also playing John Locke. I think this is cannon. We're about a half-hour in, and though I haven't been, from here on out I'm going to be looking for the numbers or Ben or something. I have put the events of this movie BEFORE the walkabout, AFTER working at the toy store, and BEFORE the pot farm. Let the speculation begin.

while I LOVED Old School, and Terry O'Quinn in it, you are a horrible person and should feel ashamed of yourself.
What is the difference between the normal episodes and the enhanced episodes on the ABC website?.
The enhanced episodes have a little bar on the bottom of the screen that pops up sometimes to give little trivia about what's going on. Usually things like pointing out that the name of the funeral home in "Through The Looking Glass" is an anagram of "flashforward", or telling you that Charlotte's initials are C. S. Lewis, or just backstory on the characters from older episodes that you might not remember.
They started doing this because ABC were panicking about how to attract new viewers to a show which depends on the audience having watched all previous episodes. The company which does the Lost recap episodes were tapped to try and figure out how to do this, and that's what they came up with. I think it's a pretty decent idea.
hey guys, have you all seen the orchid station orientation video? It's official and was a "gift" from the producers to comic con or something. link on youtube:

I think a lot of it had to do with the writer's strike and them having to fill holes in the schedule

As if you chose that over a Hackers pic. First you never post anymore and now this.
The flashforwards take place an undetermined amount of time in the future. The season 3 finale is definitely the farthest forward we've gone.

I'm thinking a huge butt, Terry Gilliam style.
I drew the dot blue, because I've never seen a blue dot.
It's an excellent blue dot Bale. Congratulations, you just passed the first grade.
THAT'S FAGTASTIC
also, I agree with this.

it's not really spoilery but fits perfect to the whole desmond and daniel station. and oh, yes, it could explain the polar bear "situation"...
