Update - March 12th 2008
I’m happy to provide a status update for the 360. We have some fixes & enhancements in the works and we wanted to keep everyone in the loop. The below are our top ones and not inclusive to all the items we might be looking to address.
* Unranked Issues “Session no longer available”: We are close to a fix for this issue and we provide an update after it’s fully tested.
* We tackled most of the “Session no longer available” issues but there are a couple left we are still working hard on. We plan to provide a “Server is full” message due to the fact sometimes the servers fill up before you can get in. The current message is misleading in this case for “Session is no longer available”.
* Sometimes you will also notice servers that state 28/32 that you’re not able to join. This issue is similar where the server is full but the number is incorrect in the browser. Again, we do have a fix in the works for this issue.
* VOIP & Squad Fixes/Enhancements: We are really digging deep into providing some updates based on everyone’s feedback.
* 50 player Servers & updates: There will be more 50 player servers available soon and stayed tuned for ways to make sure finding a great 50 match much easier.
* Spawning: We are investigating possibilities for temp invulnerability when for you spawn to address spawn camping tactics.
* Controls: Investigating mis-mappings with the Legacy control scheme.
* Exploits: We do have some fixes we are testing and reviewing to address any exploits found.
Thanks again for everyone’s support and please keep up the feedback!

360 BOX ART:
Frontlines takes place 16 years in a fictional future where oil has basically run out, and everyone is fighting over what little drops are left. Players take up arms in service of The Western Coalition or the Red Star Alliance and fight each other to take all control points on the map. The game revolves around the mechanic of the "front line" usually 2 or 3 control points that when captured by one side, pushes the frontline forward to another set of control points deeper in enemy territory. Winning a map occurs when one side runs out of control points, or spawn tickets.
Frontlines has some of the best map layouts I've seen in a long time, and some servers can hold up to 50 players at a time. Absolutely epic battles take place as the action is generally focused around the "frontlines" of each side's territory.
The game places a major emphasis on teamplay, with a maximum of 4 soliders allowed to squad up and share VOIP communications. Soldiers can respawn at their squad leader's location meaning the squad is usually kept together throughout the match. Both sides have their own unique vehicles they can use, yet somehow it is all balanced so that infantry stands just as good a chance as armour and air. The game encourages the use of combined arms and is probaly one of the more balanced titles in this aspect that I've seen in awhile.
While I doubted how good Frontlines was going to be based on a shitty launch, the title has exceeded my expectations. The gameplay is extremely deep with various classes entirely dependant on each other, as well as a unique ability for each soldier to choose from. The squad and frontlines mechanic keeps the action focused and avoids the "ring around the control points" you see in other similar games.
Kaos is the developers behind Frontlines, the core team having created Desert Combat for BF1942. Frontlines has been their baby for 3 years now, and they have stated they will support the game heavily in terms of DLC, new maps and so forth.
Penny Arcade has a few members that have bought Frontlines, so I created this thread so we can squad together in glorious combat. Since Frontlines relies so heavily on teamplay to make the game enjoyable I thought we could post our gamertags here so that we can find each other in game. Send me a PM if you want put on the list.

Kaos has been very good about keeping everyone updated on various fixes/patches, and is probaly one of the best devs I've seen in terms of communicating what's going on to their fan community.
edit: A bunch of us will be playing tonight (probaly starting around 11 - 12 EST, and going late night. Look for me online if you need a squad invite.

But I might stray to the PC version if I do buy it as I realised how much more I like CoD4 on PC after having played it on my 360 for months (I can't remember when it came out..), than on my PC for about a week.
I will say this ... Frontlines on the 360 is the closest I've seen to a PC'ish shooter on the 360. I'm not exactly sure why this is, but the game reminds me alot more of PC FPS's than it does typical console.
We should get an Xfire list going. I have it on both platforms, so you guys can play with me either way you go. Although, I like it more on the 360 - less snipers. Snipers are a problem in the PC version. On some maps, it can be absolutely frustrating. At least, I find it annoying when half a team is sniping.
So, this is a good game. Bamelin, weren't we going to get a game going tonight? You said we'd start from 10-11:00 PM EST!
Edit: I'm pretty sure brynstar's gamertag isn't his forum name, either. I believe he's Xander51.

The servers just keep getting better and better, and the MP community seems to have exploded.
No worries. I've been on every night with the crew, and sometimes by myself as well. Tonight I'm probaly going to do some Warhawking but hopefully I'll be able to sneak an hour of Frontline in around 12 EST.
