PS3 Controller Cable

I'm looking to get an extra long cable for charging the PS3 remote, as the one that comes with the system is ridiculously small. It's a USB to microUSB cable, right? I can't seem to locate any similar cables on monoprice. Can anyone with superior knowledge and/or searching skills help me find a longer cable on the cheap? It's extremely annoying having to sit on the floor to charge my controller.

I'm 99% positive you can use any mini-USB charger (not micro). Tonight I'm planning on plugging a controller into my Motorolla wall charger (which is just a regular ol' mini usb plug), and seeing what happens. I tried it before but it didn't do anything, probably due to, I don't know, something.

If you just want a long cable, try your same searches again but for mini-usb.

Just get an extension. A plug to A receptacle. Unfortunately, due to the USB standard, you can't go more than 15 feet, so hopefully, that's long enough for you.

Just as an aside, if you have a cable/DVR box that has a USB port, you can use it to charge the controller.

I've got a HD DVR and use it on my controller; don't need the PS3 to be on to re-charge.
