...yesterday, and I'm needing some good games. Looking for good multiplayer games that can be played with friends or online. I already have Brawl, which is the reason I bought it. I've already played WarioWare and Raving Rabbids, so I don't wanna get those games either.
Also are there any good RPGs for the Wii other than Zelda, which isn't really an RPG? And is Metroid Prime 3 any good, and do I need to finish the other Primes before playing it?
Super Mario Galaxy
Brawl
Mario Kart - out in europe, amazing game and should be an instant buy
Zelda
Kororinpa (marble mania) - surprisingly fun and addictive with friends
RE4
Mario Strikers - great but tough online, but havent played it in a while now
the only ones online are mario strikers, kart and brawl...
Metroid Prime 3 is well worth your time. If you haven't played at least the original Metroid Prime, I'd play that one first. I don't think it's too important to play it before the third one, but it might be hard to go back to the old Gamecube controls after playing Prime 3.
Super Mario Galaxy is a must-own. Appart from that I haven't really gotten into the Wii games we've got, although my flatmate loved The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Oh, if you've got someone to play with, Ghost Squadron is pretty cool.

I did play the original, but I never beat it. I got annoyed too much on some boss battles just being way too hard.
I was meaning is it essential to play for the story line. I know metroid isn't very heavy on story, but if I jumped into the third one, would I be confused with what's going on is what I'm asking.
And from the looks of it, people are saying Galaxy is the way to go, and I figured I would get it eventually.
Metroid Prime 3's storyline makes perfect sense without having played the first two games, being in that position myself.
Buy Mario Galaxy.
Buy Mario Kart.
Buy Zak and Wiki.
Consider No More Heroes.

Untrue.
Gee-tar Hero. Only worth it if you don't have and don't plan on getting another system that has it. If so, however, it is great fun, especially multiplayer.
Also, for fun two-player fun consider Geometry Wars: Galaxies.
If you haven't played it previously, you must pick up Resident Evil 4.
I really need to get Metroid Prime 3.
sorry i meant out of the games i recommended the only online ones were those three...
and totally recommend geometry wars too, cant believe i forgot
Was at two different *^*estops yesterday and overheard that one store had a new Wii in stock and the other had a used one.
Is the Wiideficit finally over?
I assume yes. My friend's parents went to a different Gamestop and they had one. I went to one and they had four there since noon and I bought the first one sold that day. I got there at like 7 PM. I also saw one just sitting in the Wal-Mart display case over the weekend as well.
As far as Guitar Hero goes, I traded in my PS3 version for the Wii. It sucks. Rock Band is so much more fun, and playing it made me hate trying to play Guitar Hero 3.
Would seem that way. I've been wanting a Wii for a while, but once Brawl came out and I played it at a friends, I knew I had to get a Wii asap. Do not regret it at all, though all my friends who had Wiis and sold them due to lack of games tried to talk me out of it. Plus Nintendo makes a lot of great games even if they don't get a lot of third party support. The Gamecube had an amazing library, albeit small. The Wii may suffer the same fate, but I enjoyed the shit out of my Gamecube, so I assume I'll enjoy the Wii just the same.
And why the hell would you trade in the PS3 version of GH3 for the Wii version? That's just crazy talk.
It sounds like he traded in his PS3 GH3 bundle and put it towards a Wii console. Based on how its worded. It sounds like he can't stand GH3 on any platform.
Also, boo-urns to the Wii version of Rock Band. I still think there excuse is bullshit, and its really just a lazy port of the PS2 game.

Hate to break it to you, but the saints over at Harmonix are fucking over Wii owners in one of the same primary ways that Red Octane did...DLC, one of the main draws of Rock Band, will not be present on the Wii version when it comes out. They claimed (at least I read a quote from a developer) that it was a lack of storage space. Because we all know that being able to fit 50 fucking songs on a single SD card would totally suck more than not having any DLC at all. I'm so glad they made that decision for us.

No no no, you misunderstood me. I traded my PS3 GH3 to purchase my Wii. I have Rock Band for 360. If a game is multi-platform I will get it on PS3. I will get it on Wii if the controls look more fun on the Wii, but I doubt that will really ever happen. I only got Rock Band for 360 because the GH3 controller works on it and my friend has a GH3 controller for 360.

I was getting some stuff in Target yesterday and saw they had 3 Wiis. I figured I'd get my friend one for a wedding present. I went to the counter to ask a guy to unlock the display and grab me one. He told me a guy was headed there now. All three were gone in the span of about 30 seconds =/
I'd say we still have a while to go before seeing them in the wild hehe
EDIT: I think I'm just bitter because developers go out of their way to actively fuck over Wii owners on multi-platform titles. Something the OP should learn right off the bat.
I've considered this. Again, I mainly bought the Wii for first party games. I have a PS3 and my brother has a 360, so I am easily covered for quality multi-platform games.
I much prefer the PS3 controller to the Wiimote/nunchuck combo.

Edit: Damnit, how did I miss that in the OP...

LIZ: Different.

Maybe where you are, but up here in Canada, hell no.
