Samsung YP-P2 Crashing Winamp?

Hey PA,
Simply put, whenever I plug my mp3 player (Samsung YP-P2) into my computer, if I either:
a) Have Winamp running or
b) Attempt to run Winamp following the plugging in of the mp3 player
it runs for, at best, 5 seconds, before crashing. Not with an error message, just... shutting down. The little Winamp icon remains in the bottom right of my screen, but when I mouse over it, it vanishes.
Anyone with a similar experience, or a fix?
