need help with a cell phone

ok, not sure if this is the right section, i mean its games and tech and I'm looking for a way to help find my cell phone. tried using aim to send a text message to the cell phone but it says that the cellphone cant recieve offline text messages. any1 got any ideas?

    most cell phones (if they are turned on) have an email address. Verizon, for example, is ##########@vtext.com.

    EDIT: Hell, I'll call it once if you are in the US.
