Hey guys ! For those who don't know us, Gamersyde Diaries is a bi-weekly gaming show were we showcase and discuss anticipated games weeks before their release dates, made by the very crew of Gamersyde.com.
This week, we took the time to make a little Gamersyde Diaries on The Bourne Conspiracy while at the Sierra Spring Break '08.
Enjoy !

I mean, dude
Anyway, mods' decision.
So having a link in my sig would be better than to come and explain what we're actually doing ? As for the thread title, you're overreading. My goal is that people click on the topic, discover the show, like it or hate it but at least give it a shot. I know from experience that having a thread title with the name of your unknown gaming show/site/whatever is not the smartest move to make.
Most importantly, I'd like to recall you that this episode is a video preview of The Bourne Conspiracy. Besides the fact that I'm introducing the show to the forumers of PA, it is about a game, what we show of it and we have to say about it. And as you may have guessed, we really liked it. That's also why I chose this thread title.
Not only would it be better for you to have it in your sig because then every time you make a post it would draw attention to your show, it is also specifically stated in the rules thread that it's what you should do.
It doesn't matter that the show you linked to was about the Bourne game. In no part of your OP did you even mention the game, and saying that you titled this thread because you knew it would be worse if you had made it clearly about your show basically reaffirms my statement that you hid the true intention of this thread so that you could site-whore.
What you should have done. Is make a thread about this game, include some information about release dates and platforms it will be on, and show us some screenshots. Then if you wish to mention that the show you have linked in your sig talks more about the game and people should check it out if they are interested it would have been perfectly fine.
Edit: my mistake, you did mention the game. Just long enough to tell us that it's what your show was talking about this week.
The game is mentionned in the title and in the OP. And what I'm posting here is a video preview of the Bourne Conspiracy, I don't see what I could add that is not said in the video. Anyway, I think the problem you have here is that I'm the one who did this video and that I decided to post about it. Maybe you're right and I shouldn't have, I don't know, but I don't really get your aggressivity. If I did the wrong thing, I guess the mods will lock the topic / ban me / do something about it. Why acting like I attacked you personnally ? I understand that I may have done something that the rules of this forum reprehend and I'm sorry, but I don't think I deserve this. Besides, I could have pimped something really bad, whereas Gamersyde Diaries is quite a cool show in my opinion
You could have added any of the things I mentioned previously. Take a look at any of the other threads about upcoming games, they would have given you a good example of the way things are usually done.
The problem here is that you are site whoring under the guise of talking about this game. Why didn't you include any more information about it in your OP beyond "go to my website to hear about it." If you really wanted to discuss this game you could just as easily posted the information from your site here. It's clear that what you're doing is just trying to get people to visit your site, and it's against the rules.
Im not being aggressive or reacting as if you attacked me personally. Im simply pointing out the fact that you are breaking the rules and then trying to rationalize it away with half hearted excuses.
Well, you're wrong. I don't give a damn about people visiting my site, we're fine without site-whoring and that's not what we do anyway. If you've ever heard of Gamersyde, you should know it.
Anyway, maybe the way to talk about a game on this forum is to bring a spec post with screenshots and info, but that's not what I'm used to. See how neoGaf works. The only thing I'm interested in is to discuss about the content of this week's episode. It's been posted on various forums and we had excellent discussions, people had questions about the game, and I was here to answer them, just like I'm here to answer yours even if it's not exactly the kind of discussion I was expecting.
By the way, as you may have noticed if you've actually watched the show, which I doubt, we are french. When "site-whoring" this episode in french boards, I don't even link to my site but to the video hosted by dailymotion. The only reason why I linked to Gamersyde on the US boards is because I'm not sure how fast dailymotion is from the US. Talk about site-whoring...
And they've also hired the combat choregrapher of the movies. It may be anecdotical in any other game, but combat in bourne is very cinematic, be it usual in-game combat or QTE sequences. It adds a lot to see Bourne move and fight just the way he does in the movies, very dynamic, fast and violent.
