Holy shit that looks crazy fun to play around with. I loved Crackdown because I could scale buildings and run and jump. That was the entire reason I liked Crackdown. This looks to be a day purchase for me.
Aw...awesome. This looks awesome. If there's one thing that I wish I had the physical skillset for, it'd be free running/parkour. As it stands, I'm just not flexible/fast enough.
Anyway, this is like a fantasy come true. Exactly what a videogame should be.
As one of the few people who doesn't seem to have a problem with jumping from the first-person perspective, I have fewer worries about this than others. Hooray for me!
nice, i didn't even realize this was a shooter as well. that makes it a million times more interesting for me - yeah, a parkour simulation is awesome, but ultimately boring. the shooter mechanics make it seem like there'll be some sort of point to all the running around and jumping.
I've had this on my radar since those first screens popped up a few months ago. I don't know how the hell it's going to feel like while playing but it seems like an incredibly awesome spin on puzzle-platforming and action. The whole Run Lola Run–meets–Ultraviolet aesthetic is really intriguing too.
Even if the game ends up terrible to control, I'll just YouTube speed runs of the game and be amazed.
eh looks interesting, but I like how there are "speed lines" when running except the character is running super slow. Let's ditch the sluggish character movement please, especially for what it seems this game is trying to do.
I've been looking forward to this a really long time. It's cool how EA has recently released like a few cool games (Skate, Rock band and this). Most is still shit though:(

This looks cool, but I'll probably suck at it. I always explore places slowly, just flat out running to obstacles is going to be difficult.
Also, I dislike the emo makeup of the main character.
No, I meant one of the other asian girls at 1up that doesn't look anything liker her. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have a hard time cosplaying as faith, both got the same full looking face.
This trailer looks great. The screenshots didn't pull me in, but this has me quite excited.
Who is being a fool? The fact that they included shooting is exactly my argument against this game, what if skate involved mowing down random dudes would it be the same game at all? I realize the movement parts of the game are based on parkour, why can't it simple stop there?
Edit: Game looks pretty ehh and a simple way to cash in on the parkour craze.

can't wait for this one, honestly.
From what the devs have been saying, it isn't really a shooter. You don't carry a weapon most of the time, but you can steal them from security guards and use them until they're empty.
It's basically meant to give you a way to extricate yourself if you're trapped/surrounded/don't know where to go.

Man sheeesh. "District B13" was awesome and it was just "parkour + face shootings"...
"+ awesome chubby dude".
I really like the look of this. Here's hoping it's up there with SotC and PoP on the non-standard platformer scale. I also dig the highlighting so far, it took me a sec to see it and it seems like a decent way of making things obvious to the player but not completely glowy and unnatural.
Also, what the hell do you mean about the speed, telMarine? How fast do you run?

Wait you're against a game because it's got a shooting element? The developers have stated that carrying a gun will probably be a bad idea, though possible in the game, and most of the focus is on running the fuck away, but still, how can you say "Oh shit there's action in this game? I just wanted a parkour game and they're not making the game I want in an action/platformer. That means it's bad." This game, from nothing I've seen, has ever just been a "Hey first person parkour", it's always been "Run the fuck away, but we're not going to limit your choices too much"
I mean, obviously the Lemon-lime button has been pressed, I don't know why you're complaining about not getting Orange.
It looks a heckuvalot like Ultraviolet like Lunker says which is not a bad thing at all.
I don't know if that's the final game or not but with all that shine and ultra...bright colors there were no reflections of the character at allsuch as the first obstacle she climbs or the building across from the one she jumps from. I will have to decide on an HD system to play this on soon!
Man sheeesh. "District B13" was awesome and it was just "parkour + face shootings"...
I was waiting for someone to bring that movie up, it FUCKING ROCKED SOCKS!!
As for this game, it looks awesome IF.....
That's the capital "IF" that games in development get when you can't tell if the final product will live up to the hype/promises/articles/buzz. But can you imagine this game on a big ol' wide screen HD Televisionater? Sweet baby Moses.
This does look pretty cool. The controlls and the flow of the parkour is going to be the most important aspect in this game by far. If they get the flow just right I can imagine this game being a blast to play.

I keep telling myself this. It could all be scripted pretty highly. Maybe there's some kind of assist running in the background to make all the movements look smoother than they should. Maybe the level design is just snazzier than the rest of the game. I don't know. Devs are shady and I've been burned before. I'm scared to love again.
My dicks are all still cumming, though. I mean, it's everywhere.

Way to go off in the wrong fucking direction, it's not a parkour game is my point and to call it one is kind of silly. It looks like a fine action game I guess, but if you call this parkour you might as well call assassins creed parkour as well.
Get off your high horse please. Parkour is a catch-all term used to describe free running and urban acrobatics, which both Creed and this game display.

They probably, for such a showing, should have done a little more to make sure she wasn't jumping backwards off a building while shooting herself in the knee.
Also, .skate + guns would still be a skateboarding game. Not the same game, but still a skateboarding game. You would be able to tell by all the skateboarding being done in it.

It's good to know someone else understands that B13 was excellent. Made even better by a few hilarious choices for dubbing accents.
But yeah, this could be BS, but frankly EA's name (outside of most sports titles) has been inspiring more hope than fear recently. They seem to be trying to actually invest in good games... but we'll see.

Seriously what the fuck is going on with the insults you cunts. I don't understand why it's so much to ask for a pure parkour game not something that looks like it may have started out that way and had some gun action thrown in to appeal to the "halo" crowd.
I'm still a skeptic. Parkour looks cool, but when you go into first person mode, you're missing out on a lot of the coolness. In the trailer, it just looks like a roller coaster ride with flailing arms and legs coming into the view every now and then.
Regardless, I'm hoping for the game to change my mind as I learn more about it.

Depends on your definition of the word Parkour.
And whether said definition is correct or not.
Everything shown in that trailer can be accurately described as parkour.
Also, I dislike the emo makeup of the main character.
Don't be a fool. You know what he meant.

In a better world, yes.
Karen? Don't tell me you are saying that because both are Asian in appearance. But I agree with the character models thing.
On the other hand, it's not finished and you know it has a fresh look.

Parkour.
Sorry, couldn't resist. Acrobatics plus shooting stuff.

Also, FanciestWalnut is stupid.
If they add a ranking system, I would be SO DOWN for S-ranking missions and a Time Attack mode. Please!

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
