Click on videos, and then when it shows a list of videos you look at the top middle and click on that... Then at the bottom it has DS download service.
I was hoping we'd get more demos that didn't end with the word 'training'...
It is my theory that Nintendo is running the DS Download section off of a single Wii. They can only put up so many demos at a time because they have to keep dragging them on and off the SD card, y'see...
So wait a week or two and the demos will shuffle. At least, that's what seems to happen here in N. America.

Why didn't anyone tell me this game was awesome? I just sunk like 3 hours into this. It randomizes every time so you can replay it indefinitely, I can only imagine what the full game is like.
From reading about it online, it came out last September. The new devs totally scrapped the first DS game and started over and made this masterpiece. Incidentally, in an odd mix of recent Wiiware news, it was made by the original Toki Tori team.
Unlike the buggy and awful first DS Worms, everything works flawlessly in this one. Ninja Rope and Jetpacking work just as on PC. It has single player hotseat, local play (I think I read it has single card multi) and online play. Though, who the hell would be playing it online anymore.
And from what I hear, it's not like it's merely another good Worms game, it's somehow a definitive entry that just happens to be portable.
Everybody try it out, the demo's only there for 3 more days.
I have been spoiled with the awesomeness of Worms Armegeddon... this is like the same exact game except on a smaller screen and less convenient local multiplayer... with a few more weapons.

It is definitely a great series though, have fun.
After playing Armageddon, Open Warfare 2 is also a huge mess visually. And not just because of the small, low resolution screen. The new worm sprites are bland and lifeless, and the font and UI design are just terrible. Same with the 360 one. They could have just ripped the Armageddon UI and graphics and it would have been fine!

All I'm seeing is single player campaign, single card multi, multi card multi, and online. If this has single DS mutli, I'm there.

Speaking of Armegeddon... as much as I loved it, I now have Windows Vista with an Intel processor... a combo which I've heard is pretty much a death sentence for the game and I haven't found a way to get my copy to work.
Anyone have a solution? I'd really like to be able to play it again.

Have you tried the most recent patches available? It doesn't even like XP if you don't patch it.
If you've already done that then I have no clue what you could try.

I'm going to download it right now then. I haven't played any Worms game before, so I'm not sure what to expect. The Apollo Justice demo made me go out and buy Trials and Tribulations, my first Phoenix Wright game. Maybe the Nintendo Live Channel will stirke my wallet again.

Yes, yes I am sure. It has a mode where you pass the DS around between people (hotseat) and reviews seem to indicate there is also single cart multiplayer where you send it to other people's DSs.
By the way, these are the controls:
d pad - move worm
a - use weapon
b - jump/backflip
y - weapon select window
x - weapon options (grenade timer, rotate girder)
select - change top screen view
start - pause
I can confirm that Worms Open Warfare 2 is awesome, and that it does have hotseat play. It's also got Wifi play, campaign modes, and single player challenge modes. There are unique DS game play modes that are hard as hell. It has LESS weapons that Armageddon, but it's still pretty feature complete. I bought it used and it is worth every single penny full price. Best portable Worms ever.

Worms World Party works on my similar machine. It's not Armageddon, but it's basically the same game.
Is anyone else slightly peeved that they are sending Nintendo data on what games you've played, how often and for how long, but you can't easily get access to this information yourself (bar trawling through the message board, with a laptop and a spreadsheet)? I'm a stat whore and want to know what my top games are both in total number of hours and number of times played. The info is in my Wii, Nintendo have it but I can't see it.
Open Warfare 2 is an excellent game, especially if you have people to play with. We used to use do hotseat and play it during games of Settlers/Carcassonne, since the game pauses after each person takes their turn.

Hmm, so according to the video at nintendo.com, you need to have a Wii to download and play demos on the DS and then once you get them there, they disappear once you turn the DS off.
So? That's what the ds demo thing has always done, if you've ever gone to an EB or a nintendo booth at a convention.
PROTIP: When you close the DS it will enter sleep mode and save the state of the game you are in until you open it. A fully charged DS will last somewhere between 5 to 10 days or possibly more in this state.
Hell you could do the same to the old GBA downloadable games too. I once had Excitebike on my GBA for two weeks.
can i use my SD card to store channels? beacuse i have a 4gb sdcard i can use... but i want to be able to access it from there, and not have to fudge about with moving it in/out whenever.

Yes, you can store your channels, but you cannot run them off of a SD card like you want. That would make too much sense.

Another quick note about your SD card: the Wii won't read cards over 2 GB. Can't handle SDHC cards.

Wii WILL read cards over 2GB, IF they are not SDHC cards. They're just that much harder to find, and I think more expensive.
But yes, it's a shame they didn't make the slot SDHC compliant.

thanks for the heads up on that :-)
No problem. It's hidden for something so awesome.
There are demos. Click on the find games thingy and then on DS download station. Very simple and easy.

And yeah, they're all training, apart from Mario Kart, which I have, and Picross.
