Well ok, partly it's probably I didn't have time to get used to the system in the time before I had to go to work this morning. I guess my biggest complaint about the difficulty is that the hit box feels gigantic compared to other shooters. If you could've made it a little smaller, and made it feel a little less like a fat kid sliding around in a roller skating rink full of crisco, it would've been really good.
I'll be honest, this was my best idea and I used it first because HOLY FUCK SYNTHETIC ORANGE. But now I have new, better ideas. The question is, can I pull them off in time?
(And holy shit, as of right now I'm winning at exactly 66.666666 to 33.333333. That's a heckuva ratio.)
I'll say this much, I had stuff storyboarded for SO, so I'm trying to shift my thoughts.
Okay, to address the "hard" issue - I tried using that bar along the bottom as your life, but then the game's too easy. So I threw in the shield and I had IT consume the bar. Yeah, it doesn't tone the difficulty down too much, and perhaps not enough, but seriously, this was difficult to balance in the time given.
Expect further entries to also be out of whack difficulty-wise, but I guess I'll just aim at "easier" than "holy fuck insane harder".
Nah, don't turn down the difficulty. I'm used to not being able to win at games, anyway, and probably everyone else who found it impossible is too.
I hope this wasn't a fluke and his next battle is just as good
I have plans. Though I don't have as much time, so I can't promise nuthing. If the next game ends up being a bunch of coloured blocks fighting it out, don't be too surprised.
