Hmm... I'd say see if you can go back, get her to prescribe the anti-inflammatory again... and then fill it, so you'll at least have it if you need it. Going back is doubly-good, because if it's something she didn't realize before, she'll have a greater chance of finding it this time around.
I have the same problem you do. The anti-inflammatory works I hear (I don't take it, mine isn't bad, just a dull ache when there's a low-pressure front). My dad got surgery for his, you might attempt that, but the meds are probably more than satisfactory.

Something similar to this happened to me when I was in the army back in '01. They used to run us a lot and it got to the point where I went from leading my run group to almost not being able to complete runs. I went to the doc and she gave me these crazy 800mg motrin pills and some silly ass excercises to do. After taking the pills the pain went away and I was able to run immediately. It bothers on the extremely rare occasion but the pills pretty much took care of it.
