Yeah I have noticed, far more often than not that tons of people rush to help people that are hurt. At least up here in Canada where every damn person with any job at all has CPR training.

Some kid got nailed by a bus that I was on, went flying back like twenty feet on his skateboard. I quickly reacted, but even though I hurried off the bus about ten people were already crowded around him dialing 911 and checking the ABC's. I couldn't even help because he was already surrounded by people helping.

    I'd say so.

This is what happens when you let the 1st Amendment run wild.

Someone needs to put a leash on that thing

Canada sounds like it's full of pussies.

A group of like...four or five assholes could completely take over your country.

I think the biggest problem isn't apathy or a lack of moral compass but a failure to acknowledge the power we do have.

If I had been a bystander the only thing I would have done would be to try and redirect traffic/protect his body from other cars.

In his health situation I wouldn't know what to do, as I imagine a lot of the bystanders didn't as well.

It's silly to label this as an act of apathy when people probably didn't know how to help.

Ive always been the type who will at least see if theres anything I can do to help, whether its calling 911 or whatever. But once I got my first responder training I became even more inclined to help and I think that a big part of that was that I knew how to help. ( Also Im required by law to stop and give aid) Same deal when I went through the combat lifesaver course in the Army. Once you know how to help and feel more confident in your ability to do something, I think you are more likely to help out.
