I once read an article about graphics on the XBox written by a graphics programmer who worked on the Blade game for the XBox. God, can you imagine having to be a shader guy or texture artist for that? OK, so the main character is a black guy with dark sunglasses and a black-handled sword and he wears black leather and fights at night in dim sewer tunnels. Awesome, so basically he's visible only where his jacket shines and the chrome finish on his sword. Oh and if he smiles. But he doesn't smile.
tube if i ran a owod campaign would you be interested in playing in it
yeah I'd play the shit out of it
knob was going to do one ages ago, I made a character and everything. basically as long as there is a standing rule that there aren't any characters that are like "Jane Amazing is a beautiful but deadly journalist". How you can get the best roleplaying system for making sociopaths ever and end up with so many grizzled private investigators and rock guitarists is beyond me.
the tabletop is a well-designed and fun game with epic action and clever challenges and great stories
the larp is playing dress up with a bunch of goth fags at the university math building late on a saturday night when you could be out drinking or having sex.

the inside of his jacket is red!
i still think that's kind of rad in a neckbeareded 21 year old kind of way
bloodlines was a pretty good game until that bit in the sewers
holy shit that part sucked so much ass
Yeah I clip through that bit now. It is fucking horrible.
you know that part when you're on the hill and you have to run away from the werewolf, is there a way to kill it or what
yeah there is. You can try and figure it out, it's pretty neat. I'll spoil it for you below though
there are two big observatory doors. Get wolfie to follow you through them, he'll need a minute to squeeze through. Flip the close doors switch. voila.

oh I read about that somewhere else when I played it for the first time
I thought there was a way to just beat the shit out of him. When that guy said werewolfs are super strong I thought he was just pulling my dick

oh shit that's awesome. there are so many games where i want something like this to be the solution to the encounter but it's like "naw closing doors on him don't do shit he clips through them or the door stops closing on him"
I used to think werewolf was pretty neat if a bit eco friendly and hippie until someone went "yeah but furries play it" and then I looked at it again and said "son of a bitch..."
I think they made you unable to stay in werewolf form in the new one deliberately to stop furries.

Werewolves, to a new vampire, are to all intents and purposes unkillable. They started out as a plot device to stop players going places the storyteller didn't want them to.

yeah even the dudes i used to play v:tm larp with looked down on werewolf
not just because of a "lol my larp character hates werewolves ventrue 4 life" thing but because every werewolf player we knew was a fucking furry and would show up to games in a fucking fursuit or, at the very least, show up with an illustration of what his character should look like in his wolf form and it was always some furry fan-art bullshit from deviantart
I mean it's all like "sweet, werewolfs! snarling clawed death machines! of death! awesome!" *opens book* "why... why are all the werewolves wearing clothes? s...sexy clothes?"
There's actually relatively little gothery in the actual game. The books actively discourage gothery. It's just that the people interested in the vampire game are likely to be goths.
thats not original at all
in fact that is so not original i specifically remember watching a boring episode of the new outer limits about a character of the very same description
i remember it because it was so bad and apathy had taken over my body and i was forced to watch it

go about your business and pretend this is not here
holy shit that part sucked so much ass

man I've been wondering the same thing.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
I'd be up for playing.

both tabletop and larp
they are very different experiences
the tabletop is a well-designed and fun game with epic action and clever challenges and great stories
the larp is playing dress up with a bunch of goth fags at the university math building late on a saturday night when you could be out drinking or having sex.
both have their appeals i suppose

it's like a dracula cape but a trenchcoat

but everyone I know who played it is scary
just sayin'

ugh
when vampire larpers look down you
you know you are at a special place
white wolf made a street fighter rpg that uses the owod system and it is compatible with v:tm
HADOKEN
unfortunately i sold my owod books
i would have to acquire them in another fashion.
and to be honest tuber with the recent release of 4e i got a lot of rpg on my plate
it was more a question i wanted to ask in case i wanted to run one in the future
if i did it'd be like, a mini-series of a campaign, 1-3 stories tops. long-term rpgs don't work on forums.
disappointment central.
WELL THEN WHAT USE ARE YOU
i know a ton of stuff about it
but that doesn't stop it from being gay
you wont fight any dragons or shade liches in vampire
you will just like fight other vampires and a half mutated chinese frog
sometimes the first impression is the most correct one
goths::wod
