Other Co-Op 360 Games over Live?

Got a quick favor to ask. An old college buddy of mine and I have been playing XBox 360 pretty regularly over the last few months, and we're kind of getting burned out on our current library. The problem is, it seems that new Co-Op games for the XBox 360 (Live) may not be readily available until September or October.

So, if you guys can help, please suggest some XBox 360 games that can be played Co-Op over Live.

These are what we have and are getting tired of:
  • Rainbow Six: Vegas
  • Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
  • Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2
  • Chromehounds
  • Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

These are ones that one of us has, but the other did not enjoy and sold:
  • Gears of War
  • Army of Two
  • Kane and Lynch
  • Splinter Cell: Double Agent

It doesn't have a specific co-op campaign, but playing in a two-man party against random players in Call of Duty 4 is what my college buddy and I play all the time. You party up and take on other players, and you'll always be on the same team (though other players will be on your team as well). We throw on private chat, ignore everyone else and just shoot all night long. You can also play Live co-op in XBLA games Heavy Weapon, Mutant Storm Empire, TMNT '89 and Aces of the Galaxy, plus I'm sure a bunch of other ones.

There's also the obvious Halo 3 answer.

Kind of expensive but Rock Band let's you play together, although it's much more fun if you're in the same room as the other person.

Don't know much about it but maybe Shadowrun?

You could also take turns punching each other in the jibblies. It would be just about as fun! :P

I did a thread on this a while ago ---- several folks suggested Crackdown to me as a good/fun option (and cheap!). Good, clean fun. ;)

Crackdown is great fun co-op. Does Halo 3 have online co-op?

Consider Crackdown thirded. I mean, you can pin thugs to their vehicles with harpoon guns, what else do you need?

Obviously one of you didn't do enough fist-pounding to keep his partner happy.

I'm going with crackdown also, Really fun game online. I'm also not a massive fan of achievements, but i feel the achievements for crackdown worked well with coop. And yeah, halo 3 has online coop.

I agree with Crackdown, and Halo 3 co-op is fun...but if you do that you have to set it to Legendary, otherwise it will just be walking through the game. Hell even legendary on co-op is pretty easy, I had 2 of my friends playing with me, and it says it allows for up to 16 people.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'm going to take a look at Crackdown. There's no way I can get him interested in Halo, though.

I'm going to have to say N+, which can be purchased on Live Arcade. Check out the demo first, it might not be your thing. I, for one, have had some very very fun and very very frustrating times playing this Co-op with a friend.

Recommend: Kameo (requires free download from XBL first).

Solid: Perfect Dark Zero, Burnout Paradise

How much do you really want online co-op? Monster Madness, The Outfit, Kingdom Under Fire Circle of Doom, America's Army True Soldiers
