So I've been trying to find a good program to burn .iso's from game cd's (mostly old stuff, so not really worries about copy protection/etc), and downloading random programs off download.com/google searches has been less than useful...
a) any suggestions for windows xp shareware/freeware programs that can do this?
b) any easy to use linux ways (my ubuntu box is a bit broken at the moment, but that can be semi-easily fixed)
no, the reverse - have cd, want to create an iso file (i'm assuming i'm not a moron and xp can't just do this natively, which may be an over-assumption)
if daemon does that i'll feel very stupid, since it's installed on my desktop at home... i thought it was for virtual drive-mounting of iso files, though
I'm pretty sure there are lots of things that do what you actually want, but the only one I can think of off the top of my head is ISO Recorder (which will apparently create images from CDs as well as burn either isos or copies).
