Made about 100,000 in fruit sales today. Gonna blow the wad on Turnips and pray for a fantastic price. That should be enough to earn the east wing on my house.

I have two orchards already, and likely will make a smaller one when my trees yeild fruit again. It'll be close to Nooks in case I need fast cash.

So I grab my DS and load up AC, and right as it starts loading my town it dies on me. No big, I'll play while it charges.

ONLY I CAN'T FIND THE FREAKIN CHARGE CABLE!!!

    Gah!

This is pissing me off more than when the cat chewed on my Tetris cartridge.

The nice thing about the DS was that it used the same cord as the DS. So I had like three or four of the things lying around.

So naturally Nintendo makes an entirely new one for the Lite :(

While looking for my old GBA SP cord I found my Neo Geo Pocket Color. So Dark Arms is keeping my company at work today.

But I haven't played AC in months, and I want to get back into my town!

Man. I was in a bad mood all day, and the fireworks tonight actually put a smile on my face. Can't help but be constantly impressed with what Nintendo has done with this game.

Anyone want to come over and watch with me? :D

    I'm waiting...

Edit: I think Copper is trying to come on to me. Please open your gates.

Edit 2: I wonder if Booker is his gay lover or something. They seem so different but maybe it's some furry S&M dominant/submissive shit. I'd google for fan fiction but I'd probably find it.

    Edit 3: I found this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dakotasmith/175483663/

Anyone gimme some tips on planting trees? Is there some rule to it? Half of what I plant never makes it past sapling.

Don't plant them right next to each other. There needs to be enough of a gap for you to walk between them. You don't need to bother watering them, and you can walk over them if you wish without any ill effects.
Coconuts are more complicated. They have to be near the ocean, but not on the sand. Only one of my Coconuts has actually taken root, the other seems to be dying.

ya, coconut trees for me have only taken root about 75% of the time. However, one of my shores is now lined with them, I'm going to start working on the other side soon.

Damn, I've got a problem. I already got stung by bees today so I used up the medicine ration. Now one of my villagers, one of my FAVORITE villagers, is sick. I also bought about 1400 turnips, all my money and then some. Hope this pays off.

If you open your town, even just on DS to DS mode, sick villagers are miraculously healed. Although their relationship with you improves if you give them medicine. Next time you get stung by a bee, instead of using medicine, just save and restart and you will be miraculously healed.

What's wrong with being stung? I usually just leave my guy with a swollen eye. Doesn't seem to affect play.

How do money trees work? I planted like 1,000 bucks the other day, and now it's just a regular tree.

Money trees are not worth it because the chance of a good return is so small. Here's how I recall it: if you plant a bag of money with a golden shovel, a tree may grow and for every 1000 in that bag you get a 1% chance of the tree actually producing three money bags of the amount you planted once. For example: planting 5000 bells has a 5% chance of making 15000 bells back, and that is on top of the tree growing in the first place (it may shrivel as a sprout). And another thing is that you can't plant over 30 000 bell bags. This prevents you from planting 99 000 bell bags and having a 99% chance at success.

Anyone up for visiting my town? I'm going to sit next to the wireless router to minimize the connectivity problem I was having last night. I've also got a bunch of extra Nintendo items left over for trading.

Two Green Pipes, Two 1up Mushrooms, a Question Block, a Flagpole and a Starman.

Purely cosmetic, though some villagers will bring it up in conversation. Also, Lyle will mail you some bells if you bought his insurance.

Yup. Nnitendo's site says something about firewalls causing this, I think.
