Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I really can't think of where else I should post this and thought this to be the most appropriate place.
With that out of the way.... The PA/PvP D&D 4E Ep.4 Podcast (wow, that's a lot of abbreviations) is cut short. I know Mike posted that the podcast had to be edited because of the "rape as a minor action" and such, but I thought it would be only bleeped or maybe have some kind of sound effect over it.
The thing is, the podcast gets to the point where the DM mentions a riddle and Scott (from PvP) says, "ooooh!" and then cuts. Ep 5 starts out with them leveling up. You never get to hear what kind of loot they found, what the riddle was or anything. Did I just get a bad file or something? I noticed there was a goblin banging reference in there, did WotC pull it and my DL got messed up maybe? If this is was the intended way the episode was edited for WotC, will there ever be a post of the uncensored episode for those of us that don't mind offensive humor?
Thanks in advance for any and all help and I hope I didn't piss off admin or mods by being an idiot and posting in the wrong place.

Mine did the same. D/L through iTunes.
I'd guess that was intentional.

I gather from the context of Episode 5 that the session was cut short or something and they skipped ahead in the adventure. They have a new DM, and they mention that they never heard the riddle either. Plus they're leveling up to level 3 instead of 2 - my guess is that they jumped forward a bit to show off some more interesting bits. Remember that they're doing this not only to have fun but also advertise the new D&D edition, so they want to show as much of the new stuff as possible.
Just follow the instructions on the podcast page on the wizards site. Here, I'll even copy them for you:
Launch iTunes.
From the dropdown menus, select Advanced --- Subscribe to Podcast
When prompted for a URL, enter http://www.wizards.com/dnd/rsspodcast.xml and click OK.

Yeah, after listening a bit into Ep 5 I noticed that they mentioned not hearing the riddle. I did notice that the DM sounded a bit different, but didn't realize that they had totally switched DMs. That is a good point that they probably cut out bits to better showcase the new D&D product.
Thanks for the replies, everyone. I have to say, I have really enjoyed listening to the podcasts. It's really gotten me wanting to play D&D again, even though the last time I played was on a Prodigy BBS using AD&D (yes, AD&D. well before 2nd ed. ever existed).
I'm not sure if PA would be allowed to do so, but I'm going to email Mike and beg that they consider releasing the entire unedited podcast as 1 download (or as few pieces as possible) once the entire D&D promotion bit is done with. As I said, I enjoy the podcast, but it does seem very streamlined to showcase the action, which only makes me wonder more about what inter-party squabbling might have taken place. One can only presume it involved hilarity.
I noticed this too, but then I noticed that the DM comments on how all their abilities (defences, attacks, etc) get a +1 to them, which one would presume would be due to most of that stuff having a "+1/2 level, rounded down", which if it happened at level 2, wouldn't need to be mentioned at level 3.
Maybe they are 3rd level, but it's odd/confusing that they'd just be getting the bonus now, and makes me wonder if it wasn't just a slip of the tongue, and they're actually only level 2?

Blah, I can't get Ep. 7 either. Also, does anyone have links to the comics that accompany these podcasts? I know they're on the WOTC website but they make you register.

It says they are 3rd level in the podcast several times.
They GMs did so to make it more enjoyable for them at the time. Giving them new abilities to play with, and show off the new content in the game.
Think of it like jumping a gap in time like Attack of the Clones to Revenge of the Sith. Lots of cool stuff happened in between that caused them to level, but it doesn't need to be told for the overall story to be understood.

just wondering if I need to update something, or is it that they just have not released it yet.
