Hey where did my hot water go?

So I suddenly don't have hot water in my sinks (bathroom or kitchen) but I do in the showers!?!

What happened, any idea? It's a town house, three levels... The only sink that has hot water is downstairs contiguous to the room with the hot water heater. The showers (two each) on the top floor have hot water. The bathroom sinks don't have hot water, neither does my kitchen.

    Call a plumber. If you're renting, call your landlord and get them to send a plumber.

    Check your boiler? Ours decides at random when it wants to turn off and on so every so often we end up with cold instead of hot. Quick flick of a switch to turn it off and on again usually works.
