New mouse acting wacky with Vista

Just got a new mouse, a Swissgear Spyder. Its great except for one thing, in certain situations or in certain windows when I move the mouse it registers as a very fast up scroll. For instance, I'll be scrolling through my Firefox bookmarks but if I move the mouse at all it zooms back up to the top again. I plugged it in to my older PC which uses Windows XP and this problem does not occur. Any ideas? Are there alternate drivers I can try or something? Vista just loads in the generic ones. Thanks!
