I always loved Raymond Chandler's review of one of the Bond books where he says (paraphrased) "I don't want to see Bond feeling and being conflicted. I want to see him blowing shit up and screwing the blond bombshell."

e: also what the hell is a quantum of solace
it's just
it's meaningless
It was a short story in For Your Eyes Only
It was something about the comfort you receive from another person
Probably the worst Bond story because it was not anything like the rest of the books, or even the other stories in For Your Eyes Only
Maybe he will actually get to drive it for more than 45 seconds this time
On that note, one of my favorite uses of a Bond car was the scene in Tomorrow Never Dies where he uses it to escape that parking garage and uses every single gadget the car has. It was a fucking Bondcargasm.
Contrast that to The World Is Not Enough where it gets cut in half and doesn't do shit

I loved the 7-series BMW. And the Z8. They fucking destroy them all.
I can't wait to see this. I was pretty blah about Casino Royale until I saw it. It got me all excited about James Bond again. Daniel Craig plays him good.

Continuity is one thing that was always missing from Bond.
Other than the motley crew of Q, moneypenny etc the recent bonds have sorely lacked any kind of overarching plot. Not since the days of Connery and Spectre has it been so good.
From what I understand, Quantum is a direct sequel to Casino, and that a third concluding part is planned for after.
You guys know what I am really excited about? The intro movie. Every Bond movie has a cool intro cinematic thingy. I just hope QoS's will be just as awesome.

really though i was happy that they got the "fad of the moment" thing out of the way quickly and didn't try to jam it into every conceivable action sequence during the film
the segment itself was awesome, yes. but mostly because they didn't make another one like it.

The first trailer was unimpressive. The new one makes me all gooey.
Hamlet will be Hamlet
An ineffable tragedy of the human spirit that still resonates, even today.
I get a good vibe

And even more so during the torture scene

Then I got much more excited because I learned it was another Daniel Craig Bond flick.
:winky:
Even my own girlfriend thinks I'm gay.
Whoops. Missed the 'd in there.
I'd do things to Daniel Craig.
i didn't even realize it was coming out this year
looks sweet
I think he is the on the bleeding edge of both masculinity and prettiness and it melds to create something more.
That was amazing.
Man, that hurt just watching that.

I can't wait to see Bond break some dudes
