Okay, so everyone knows the "logo" for the Rebel Alliance from the Star Wars universe... but does anyone know the background behind it? Like the background within the Star Wars universe context?
It seems like there must be one, no symbol or flag is just arbitrary... the pieces they're made up of always mean something in one way or another... and even though I can't think of an explanation presented during any of the flicks... surly it must have been address at least once during one of the books exploring the EU... there so much interesting stuff you could do.
Thanks in advance, and while I'm at it... any explanations as to the Galactic Empire's symbol?
