Canned Salmon? [recipe thread]

So...I've never worked with canned salmon before, but I've heard it can be quite good and it a much less expensive way to work salmon into your diet.

Ideas/recipes on how to use this? The simpler and cheaper the better, but I'm willing to try whatever.

    Canned salmon? Gross! Also, is it east coast salmon or west coast? There's a huge difference.

    Canned salmon is not gross.

    Salad: dark greens, praline pecans, canned salmon, olive oil, pepper, maybe some salt.

    Pasta: cook some pasta, add capers, olive oil, canned salmon.

    Loxesque: Toast a bagel, cover in cream cheese, canned salmon. Capers and/or onions if you like 'em.

    This is all for West Coast salmon btw.

    Well, salmon is not salmon, when speaking in terms of where it was caught. To be honest I don't have much experience with canned.

    When I was a kid my dad would make something he called poor man's crab cakes with canned salmon. It was pretty tasty all things considered. Unfortunately, I don't have a recipe for you.

    Just had my first canned salmon ever the other day actually. Got a book of recipes called "A man a can a plan'. Here are a few

    18 oz salmon
    11 oz corn
    1.5 cups of saltines crushed
    2 large eggs
    1 egg white
    .5 cup onion

    mix all together for salmon burgers


    6 oz salmon
    .5 cup chive/onion cream cheese
    1 cup bell pepper
    1 onion
    tsp black pepper

    mix all together and put on tortillas for salmwiches
