Drag and Drop

So, right now in Windows XP, if I drag and drop a file from one folder to another, it just copies the file, it doesn't delete the old one. Is there a way to set Windows to do that automatically so I don't have to manually cut and paste?

    Instead of cutting and pasting, you could drag then hit the right click before letting go of the left click (hope that makes sense, I'm not using Windows right now so I can't reproduce it... it's all muscle reflex now...) and select "Move".

    just drag with the right mouse button... when you let go, it gives you the option to copy, or move...

    hold shift.

    edit: Ctrl+drag == copy. Shift+drag == move. Alt+drag == shortcut.
