So I moved up to the Seattle area about a year ago and I've gained a lot of weight since. My diet is not too great but the major change is my lack of exercise. I used to play racquetball on a daily basis.
So now that I have some free time on my hands I was looking around for a place to play. I wouldn't mind spending a bit of money to play and there is a gym a block from my apartment complex so I thought it was all good... until I gave them a call.
So the initial payment was in the quadruple digits. The monthly payment was only $135.25. I promptly thanked my helper monkey and snapped my cellphone shut.
Where can I play racquetball for a reasonable price (or hey! for free!)? I've tried to search online but no dice. I live in the Bellevue/Redmond area...
If anyone lives around here and knows some place your help would be greatly appreciated.
May I ask which gym chain that is? I paid $450 + $100 for Life Time Fitness and it was well worth it but $1000 for initial fee is a little bit high. Was it LA Fitness?

The YMCA around here doesn't have racquetball, but I'll try that court in Seattle. It is a bit out of my way but I'm willing to bus out there for some fun times.
The gym was Pro Sports Club and I looked around and they really cater to Microsoft employees (my complex is surrounded by Microsoft buildings).
I just went to Sports Authority and an employee there also said that 24 hour fitness does the pay per hour thing too, but I'll probably want to check that out before I gear up and walk down there.

It's kind of out of your way, but I'm not sure if you work in Seattle.

Thank you for the help!

Also, check the lesser known city and county parks. Library parks too - that's how I always find my cheap tennis courts.
