The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I'm completely stupid when it comes to computer related stuff, so I'm hoping someone here can help me. I figure it really isn't hard...
I just want to be able to have a banner as my signature, that people can click and be redirected to my website. The banner I would like to use is the main one from thiswebsite Can anyone help me to create this?
You might want to resize that before a mod does it for you:
The maximum size for sigs is 500x80 pixels (four lines of text) total, and most sig images should be kept below 50KB.
Yours is currently 640x105. I know that not all of the subforums on here follow the same sig size rules - SE++ does their own crazy thing - but the 500x80 figure applies to here, Debate and Discourse, Games and Technology, and, well, actually everywhere except SE++ I think.
Ninja edit: the size difference might not seem like much, but my sig is currently 459x80, and yours is huge in comparison. You could get away with squirrelling one dimension a bit, doing something like 475x90 or 550x75, but yours is big in every dimension.
Heh... when I said "resize that before a mod does it for you," I meant "resize that before a mod uses their terrifying powers to replace your signature with plain text reading 'My sig was too big so it was taken away from me.'"
Try this one. It's just a .jpg, so you lose the shiny animated TV flicker, but it's a smaller filesize and it's the right dimensions. (If you have your heart set on the flicker, I can redo it as a .gif - I hadn't even noticed it was animated until I submitted this post).
If you want to just use it in your sig without worrying about rehosting it, paste this as your signature:
