Also, Michelle Obama could afford to smile a bit more. She has this lips-pursed 'not-amused' look a lot of the time.
Jesus Christ, cut her some slack. There was every chance that Clinton would have set them up the bomb; at that point Michelle would have to leap into action and cut a bitch.
There's also every possibility that Clinton was going to start some shit, but then saw the look on Michelle's face and decided to go with "Speech B," which is what we just heard.
This would be a good moment for PA to actually have a couple Hillary supporters, to see what they think. I need to know
You're in Ohio right? Shouldn't be too hard to go find some.

I'm not sure what her speech did that she hadn't done before, as it was fairly generic praise of Obama, but some of the bits were pretty great nonetheless.
If she had more specific praise of Obama, her holdouts would think that they got to her.
And Colbert sounds like shit.

The more HIllary hits it out of the ballpark with her “presidental” speech, the more Michelle’s face looks like it is getting 18 million cracks in it!

The funniest thing about the coverage is the contrast between Fox saying how the speech fell short (they want a discontented Hillary mob - they shouldn’t be concerned); and MSNBC falling all over themselves to praise her work. (They are in a panic.)

ABC gave good coverage. They pointed out than Mechille cried through the whole speech. Also that no one else gave that much to the winner by far. “Obama owes her a debt of gratitude.”
And that she had done them the favor of defining what this whole messageless convention should be all about.
tl;dr: The HillaryIs44 spin is apparently to fawn over Hillary so much that they miss the point of her speech completely.

Most of us are Hillary supporters. I for one am thrilled at the prospect of her kicking ass as Senate Majority Leader. It's just that Obama happens to be our once-in-a-generation leader, and we're not going to turn away our Kennedy or Roosevelt or Lincoln just because Clinton "earned it." She's going to go on to have a long and illustrious career as a legislator, and when we do inevitably have a woman elected president she will owe a lot to the work that Clinton did in this race.
I mean, I love my best friend, but if I had to choose between hanging out with him or spending a weekend playing D&D and Wii Tennis with Stephen Colbert, it wouldn't exactly be a tough decision.

The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.
