Also do more space scenes like the ones you posted ages ago. They were jawdroppingly good. I agree that you're in a "rut" but i fucking wish i was in that rut too.

well I started a new space scene today. Not going to upload it until I have a little bit more of the lineart done.

Also, the teachers at ringling don't believe in digital. There are a few classes you can take in your junior year or so, but really its just something you have to learn on your own. I have been using photoshop for like 8 years or something like that. I only seriously started using it when 5.0 came out though.

I also just went to a little art show the upperclass students put up. Im really sad now.

I don't want to offend you Wakkawa, but do you draw more than hot chicks an cool monsters besides in your study sketches? It seems like you're limiting an immense amount of talent.

Regardless, this is a great set- that quardaped monster is eerily disturbing.

I have some still lifes and a few enviromental studies, but those are really rough. I just don't enjoy doing those types of things. Next semester or so my drawing class is going to be drawing landscapes, so hopefully something will click and make those things not so boring.

I was playing guitar hero, so I didn't get to far on this one. First lighting test.

I'm disapointed at the lack of breasts on this one.

I've tried using a ruler on my wacom and it always comes out all wierd, never the way I actually want it, I can't believe the things you do sometimes, wak.

I was thinking that he did the thing where you click, and then shift+click, and it makes a straight line. But I don't know.

This thing looks pretty awesome. It's cool to see the beginning of something like this instead of just the finished piece.

wakkawa! this stuff is really getting to be fantastic... you need to stop drawing on lined paper!! some of your drawings on lined paper could be portfolio pieces if they were only on quality paper!

You are developing a very nice and sexy female.. I am impressed! where do you go to school? (sorry if this has already been answered) May i color one of your drawings?

    well done!

In an attempt to keep my ass patting to a minimum, I'm just going to say your work is amazing as always, and leave it at that.

But I would like to offer up one tiny suggestion. If you follow the arch of her shoulder from right to left, and continue down across her breast and into the shaded area where her kimono opens up, you'll notice that there's a mildly distract tangent going on. Just thought I might throw that out there.

I don't think I've ever posted in one of your threads, so I suppose it's time to put in the generic GOOD GOD YOU'RE AWESOME. Are all those pencil figures out of your head? O.o It's so nice to see you doing stuff other than just gorgeous anime-ish girls(not that those weren't lovely)...I love your more realistic stuff.

Love the feathery one Wakkwa, the more realistic face is a very nice change of pace compared to your more stylized offerings; very beautifully done.

ps. (open question) when doing the shift click thing in PS, does anyone know how to get it so the line doesn't taper off toward the second point?

I have no idea how the whole shift click thing actually works. This like a glitch with it that makes some cool straight line squard designs and stuff with it.

I like the third one. The flow through the piece is so clean.

The guy in the second one looks like he was done by...what's his name? The guy that does the initial drawings for every Final Fantasy game before their other artist's fag it up.

May I ask what resolutions you work in? I'm trying out pure tablet work and it's awkward seeing my lines all wonky and stuff, as the tablet surface doesn't quite have the same resistance as paper. Aw hell this would be a question for all really, but that's probably for another thread.

I'm sorry, the new set is really great and all I can do is pat your ass and be jealous of not only your skill but also that you go to an art school where you get to have YOSHITAKA FUCKING AMANO come and do a presentation...and..and he drew you a picture, why don't you just kill my family?

Well, I work at 16x20 inches 250dpi. I probably do most of the work at 50%, but zoom in even more for the tougher things.

Ill try to get my amano book scanned in. He only had like 20 seconds per person to draw something, but they still look really neat.

and no, I dont have any art for sale. Unless my mom steals it from me and tries to sell it at some art fairs or something.

You could totally sell prints off deviant art and just make a couple extra dollars, unless you're against selling your art for some completely insane and unfounded reason.
