Help me! New router and some sites don't load.

Our old router (Linksys wr54whatever) blew up while we were on vacation and we've replaced it with an ASUS WL-500W which is almost working. We've set it up as best as we know how and luckily most of the options were the same as the Linksys so it was pretty easy to transfer knowledge from using that for years to the new one.

Problem is, even though I'm sure the DNS is set up correctly, only certain sites will load. It's split about 50-50. Wikipedia will load, for example, and Google, and evidently PA will load, but I can't get onto IMDB.

So, assuming I'm not a total dick and I set up the DNS properly, what could cause this?
And assuming I am a total dick, what did I do wrong?

    Have you tried pinging IMDB? open up the command prompt and do so. If it finds an address to ping, but doesn't work, then you've got some kind of connectivity problem between you and them. If it doesn't then it is indeed a DNS issue. Have you tried using Open DNS servers?

    I'm not too knowledgable with routers, but my first router (Netgear) had some feature called Stateful Packet Inspection which seemed to prevent certain sites from loading up at all. Disabling that fixed my problem.

    >ping imdb.com

    Pinging imdb.com [207.171.166.140] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 168.143.228.38: Destination net unreachable.
    Request timed out.

    Ping statistics for 207.171.166.140:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 1, Lost = 3 (75% loss),
    Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms

    That's interesting to know, thanks. Does that tell me anything useful?

    EDIT: The router's firewall was fucking me up. I turned that off and everything's working.
